Salifou is a power guard who can take on a number of roles at 6’2. Throughout the game I saw he was able to simply bully his way to the rim at times, as his strong frame allowed him to overpower opposing guards. When matched up with a bigger defender though, Salifou showed some finesse to create space off the dribble, and the touch to knock down outside shots. Has the explosiveness to finish above the rim in the open floor.

Salifou is a bruiser of a wing for Minnesota Comets Landquist. Against Elevate Skills Salifou was pulling in defensive rebounds in bulk, and then had the skill to put it on the floor and push the break on his own. Camara could bully his way to the rim for finishes in the half-court, or scrap for offensive rebound and putback buckets. Defend him with a bigger forward and he has the first step to beat you off the dribble, but defend him with a smaller wing and Salifou is simply too strong to contain.

Salifou had an incredible performance on opening night, almost willing his team to a victory. He scored the ball in so many ways and the defense had no answer. He used his strong 6’2” frame to attack the basket and finish through contact, as well as draw fouls. He looked good when getting to pull up looks in the mid-range and from three, being a true three-level scorer. Camara was a pleasant surprise on Friday night.

– Camara is 2026 six-foot-two-inch forward that can handle the ball and is agile enough to take his man off the dribble. Camara has good footwork in the lane when he gets there, which here versus Apollo wasn’t an issue as none of the Apollo defenders matched his size and quickness. I loved Camara’s hustle around the rim for rebounds and he’s an above average passer with a good eye for pushing the ball up the sideline to push the fast break. Camara finished with 19 points.

Camara’s agility and lateral quickness enable him to defend at the small forward position, his size make him able to defend bigger forwards.

Salifou has a strong frame as just a sophomore, and puts it to use on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end he was able to cut off opposing guards and withstand some contact straight to the chest while avoiding fouling. Also possesses a long wingspan that allowed him to get up in passing lanes and make things difficult on the perimeter. Offensively he was at his best getting to the rim and playing off of two feet. Was able to use his strength to shoulder off defenders and go up balanced to finish with efficiency.

Whether it’s in the half-court setting or on the break, opposing defenders have a very tough time staying in front of Camara, thanks to his great ball-security, speed, and strength. He is a smart decision maker when pushing the pace and is seemingly able to get to the rim at will. Camara applies heavy pressure on D both on and away from the basketball; good rotations help him attain steals. He uses his body extremely well which allows him to finish around taller defenders on offense and hold his ground while walling up bigs on defense. Camara has a great motor and plays with high energy.
