We're midway through July and with that, nearing the end up the summer travel circuit and all the exposure it brings for prospects throughout the country.

Prospects from across New England have made sure to leave their mark on games, at camps, and during showcases throughout the months of May, June, and into July.

With just a few weeks left in the summer circuit, we'll check in on five prospects to watch over the coming weeks from each of New England's six states.

Today - five prospects from the state of Connecticut!

Carberry is a 6'4" wing out of Stamford. The 2028 prospect has two things going to his advantage in the long term; first, he has a good basketball frame that looks like it will fill out with time, and second, he can really shoot the basketball from behind the arc. He has good positional size, great length, and should continue to improve his all around skillset as he gets stronger. He does a nice job of running the floor in transition, is capable of finishing with length around the rim, and has a little bit of game off the bounce. Defensively, he guards up and down a position and has the ability to make an impact on the glass.

Birden is a 6'9" forward out of South Kent School. The 2026 prospect is a high level floor spacer with great positional size that has been playing the best basketball of his career lately. He was a stock riser this spring and summer, showcasing above the rim athleticism and elite versatility. He has great positional length and at 6'9", plays with the inside-out scoring ability that coaches covet. He makes shots consistently in catch and shoot situations, attacks the rim in transition, and can put the ball on the floor as a straight line driver. When his motor is up, he's a high level defensive rebounder with the ability to guard any spot on the floor.

Maxwell-Grimes is a 6'2" guard out of Suffield Academy. The 2026 prospect is a true combo guard that has really developed his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. Long known as a high level perimeter shooter, he's gotten stronger and more athletic, both of which allow him to hold his line on drives and finish through contact. He's crafty around the rim, showing a variety of finishing moves and counters. Defensively, he's capable of guarding either spot in the back-court and shows good instincts off the ball, with the ability to generate steals and deflections at a high clip.

Washington is a 6'5" wing out of Grasso Tech. The 2026 prospect is an impressive athlete that flies up and down the floor in transition. He stands out physically with his college ready frame, athletic burst, and length, all of which allows him to make a real impact defensively when guarding the ball and on the glass. Offensively, he's one of the better scorers in Connecticut, showcasing an ability to get baskets at all three levels. He uses his size to finish over defenders in the mid-range, has a quick first step as a driver, and can knock down shots consistently in catch and shoot situations.

Otey is a 6'5 guard out of St. Thomas More School. The 2027 prospect is a big guard that can operate with or without the basketball in his hands and has proven to be an elite, multi-level scorer. A Top 50 prospect in his class, he does a nice job of making decisions out of ball screens, can score over defenders in the mid-range, and is a high level shooter both off the catch and off the bounce. He has the ability to make plays in the half-court and in transtion and does a really good job of moving without the basketball. His return to New England was a headline story this summer.

Keep an eye out later this week as we wrap up our Five to Watch series with a look at prospects from Rhode Island and Massachusetts!

We're midway through July and with that, nearing the end up the summer travel circuit and all the exposure it brings for prospects throughout the country.
