The Brawl For The Ball was an exciting event with some great talent taking the floor. While I was admittedly a bit sidetracked with coaching, I was able to spot and watch some players that came out and had great games and weekends. I'm going to give you 5 players specifically that I noticed.

Horvath was at the very least at times the best player in the gym for Brawl For The Ball. He had a couple 15 point games that were very efficient. Horvath went off in the finals for a 31 point and 14 rebound double-double. He worked so well off his guards and plays very well as a screener.

Johnson was really good this weekend. Coaches may focus on the height, but he effectively negated that early and often. Johnson initiates contact then plays off of it magnificently. He's just incredibly strong with his base and his frame, and he uses it to bump a 6-4 player off his path with ease.

Garwood is playing his best basketball right now. He's being aggressive with the ball and attacking downhill. Garwood scored in double figures every game and dropped 41 in the 4th contest. He showed this weekend that he can be active on the glass and then push the ball with the dribble. He was really strong with his handles this weekend, showing he could dribble past defenders in the open floor.

The Dakota forward had a really nice weekend at Brawl For The Ball. The athletic forward definitely stood out with Moneyball East. He dropped 21 points in an impressive win to get to a semifinal game. He seemed like a downhill scorer that could find lanes and attack the rim with and without the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2398991' first='Tyrese' last='Jones'] was electric with the [program_tooltip program_id='2814675' first='Indiana' last='Eclipse'] squad. His points per game average had to be at least close to 20. Jones consistently wrong footed defenders or put them on his hip. This helped him create lanes and space, and when he got them, he went and got a bucket.
