Eli was one of the top performing guards over the weekend, really creating some buzz for himself in AC. He was in and out of the defense all game vs House We Built. They had a hard time containing him, and he was able to dice through the defense and get to the cup with ease. Simpkins shot the ball well from across the floor. Shot it with consistency over the contests as well when the defense started to react. Promising showing from the Ireton guard.

Got a chance to see Chase a few different times during the weekend in AC. Chase was a constant factor in the success of the team with his performance. He led the way scoring the ball and defending the ball hard on the opposite end. Chase scored on all three levels and looked very good as the team's most decorated scorer. Got to the line at least 3 times a game each time out while also finishing at the rim in different ways. Displayed a consistent floater in-between and made a lot of pullup jumpers in the midrange, which is key to his future success in the WCAC. Chase showed he can be a main piece for the team while helping out the team in all types of ways. Impressive all-around performance from the Gonzaga PG.

Amare was a strong ball-handler and producer for [program_tooltip program_id='2078813' first='VA' last='Premier'] during their time in AC. Amare was terrific on the ball, shifting by and through the defense however he pleased all game long vs the Shoreshots. He created a lot of shot opportunities for himself and for the team. It was nice to see the way the game flowed with Amare at the 1. He allowed for his team to operate and score for themselves with the skillset on the ball. Never had to force up a bad shot and he always looked for the best available look. Really like what I saw from the rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='2353640' first='Amare' last='Long'] in my first time seeing him out.

[program_tooltip program_id='2390411' first='Team' last='AKT'] had an x-factor this weekend in Cam Prosper. The reclass and new Bethel Academy member showed his worth over the weekend in Atlantic City. He was on the glass hard for AKT, hauling in rebounds to cap possessions or generate new looks for the offense. I liked the way the Cam took pride in protecting the basket. While he did a good job sliding over from the help position to stop rim-runs, Cameron also did well with defending the ball inside the paint. He drew a couple of tough matchups inside this weekend but he held his own with strong disciplined defense near the rim. Cam away with some blocks and some well-defended layups on opposing big men. Cam also showcase some touch offensively, knocking down short jumpers in the midrange and even extended behind the line a few times.

Another [program_tooltip program_id='2076976' first='District' last='Basketball Club'] guard that had an outstanding weekend at Hoop Group. Daniel was making plays left and right for the team, leading to wins all weekend. He was impressive defensively with the amount of offensive plays he broke up alone. Him and Chase were a problem defensively all weekend in the backcourt, creating suffocating double-teams and collecting steals all over the floor. Along with the defense, Daniel followed up with some nice scoring games on the other end. Strong with the ball inside, unafraid of the contact and pressure at the rim. Takes the ball strong off two feet and finished layups with control and concentration.
