All-Academic Camp Standouts I

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two weeks ago, prospects from across the country headed to the east coast, specifically to <em>Babson College</em>, for the annual All-Academic Camp.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the premier events in the northeast for academically oriented student-athletes, this event drew over 400 prospects from all parts of the United States.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below are the first five of fifteen standouts that I had the chance to watch at All-Academic Camp.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2557706"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-686fdf03c0e5a"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Kaplan, a jitterbug guard out of <em>Dallas Highland Park</em> in Texas, impressed from the jump with his creavity and ability to make plays for others. The lefty has a great feel for the game with the ball in his hands, knows how to play at different speeds, and has terrific floor vision as a passer. He gets to his spots off the bounce, has the ability to score in a variety of ways around the basket, and can really push the tempo in transition. The physically developed guard stands at 6'4", has a thick frame, and has good burst in the open floor. He can handle the ball in transition, defends multiple positions, and has a high motor as a rebounder. One of the better shooters in the gym, he has great positional size and a quick release on his jumper. He's a fluid mover that uses his length to his advantage on the defensive end of the floor and makes an impact as a rebounder in space. He has good positional size and great length, rebounds defensively with the ability to initiate the break, and can defend up and down a line-up with his combination of lateral mobility and strength. Offensively, he has an inside-out scoring package, makes good decisions off the bounce, and can score at all three levels. He's at his best when being aggressive off the bounce, using his combination of athleticism and strength to finish with authority around the rim.
