Even though most college coaches are focused on evaluating rising seniors during the summer, the juniors have the opportunity to get their recruitments rolling if they handle business on the court. Here are some prospects who did just that:

When the Burrs needed to put the clamps on someone defensively, it was Farlow they looked to to make it happen. Nicknamed “The Claw,” he used his long arms and lateral quickness to contain opposing guards. And despite his thin frame, he displays a ton of mental and physical toughness on both ends. Offensively, Farlow helps move the ball and is able to knock down open shots when it swings his way. Albany's coaching staff recognized the value he brought to the floor and offered him his first scholarship.

[player_tooltip player_id='2534590' first='Shawn' last='Neurell'] | 6'4 F 2027 Concord

Despite being Second Team Flight B as a sophomore, Neurell is still a lesser known prospect throughout the state. And though he had some talent, he's added to his bag since the end of the season. The point forward was the Raiders' decision-maker and passer, often helping bring the ball up versus press and getting the team into their halfcourt offense. Neurell was even more impressive when things ran through him on that end. He would create for others and himself inside the arc, taking defenders off the bounce before hitting cutters or pulling up for two.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632695' first='Kenyon' last='Portee Jr'] | 6'3 G 2026 Bishop McDevitt

Portee Jr made the jump from Trinity to the Crusaders and it's made all the difference. During the high school live period, he diced up defenses off the catch. His team got the ball to him off of screens and on cuts, helping him get downhill and to the rim where drew contact and still finished. He shot well from three too, hitting standstill and movement jumpers. And when the situation called for it, he was able to get downhill on his own for timely buckets and add secondary playmaking.

[player_tooltip player_id='2843473' first='Troy' last='Spencer'] | 6'2 G 2027 Dover

Spencer spent his sophomore season lighting it up on JV as an all-around scorer. Now getting run on varsity, he didn't that same usage or volume of shots, but he capitalized on the ones he did get to compliment the vets on the floor. Running the floor in transition and relocating off ball, Spencer made the defense pay for leaving him open from three. More importantly, he made hustle plays for steals and rebounds that energized the team. His two breakout performances at Philly Live I came right before his 16th birthday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375230' first='Chris' last='Thomas'] | 6'4 W 2027 Sussex Central

A real athlete on the backend for the Golden Knights, Thomas put all of his movement skills and physical tools on display as he anchored their defense. He quite literally flew around for blocks and steals that allowed him to get out in transition where he's at his best. Thomas improved offensively too. He would move around off-ball then cut to the basket at the perfect time and finish above the rim. That ability was accented by his three-point shooting. Thomas spaced the floor from the corner, which made him more of a dynamic threat.
