It's June! The Scholastic Period has begun, meaning prospects across the Palmetto State are back with their High School programs for the next 30 days competing in various camps and events. Friday I was in Columbia, South Carolina, for the annual University of South Carolina Men's Basketball Team Camp. With over 80 teams in attendance, there are going to be prospects who don't always get the shine they deserve. These five prospects are 2027s who performed well on Day One and could find their way onto a College Coach's Radar with more good play this Summer. Check them out:

First up on the list of Off-The-Radar 2027s from Friday in Columbia is [player_tooltip player_id='2279025' first='Kais' last='Parris']. Kais is a big, physical wing who can make a difference on both ends of the floor. His length allows him to be creative at the rim and keep rim protectors off balance, while also taking smaller defenders into the post or working on the offensive glass. Parris has solid footwork and good instincts for tracking the ball. On defense, he contests shots well and is active in passing lanes. Kais put up 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks in Game Two.

Jennings had a very productive game in the matchup with Ben Lippen, racking up 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He picked up the Falcons' top scorer - one of the best in the state - and did a really good job on him with his length and mobility. Peyton also played a variety of roles on the offensive end including middle-man against a zone, dunker-spot, and wing playmaker. Jennings excelled at all three as he made plays off the bounce, knocked down two threes, and converted on a pair of turn-around jumpers.

Next up on the list is [player_tooltip player_id='2446472' first='Kamden' last='Hack'] of J.L. Mann. Hack saw more of the ball in his hands as the game went on, taking over the primary ball-handling responsibility for most of the second half. This was because he was not only the team's only consistent scoring threat, but he limited turnovers with a patient handle. Hack is an oustanding athlete who can finish above defenders and the rim and see above them on the perimeter. He knocked down two threes in the game, spotting up for one in the left corner and pulling up from deep range for the other. Kamden finished with 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals in the loss.

Despite it not being his best performance, it was still pretty easy to see Kani's long-term potential. Butler has grown a few inches since Prep Hoops SC last evaluated him, now measuring at 6'4". This gives him the length to be very effective in SCISA Class 2A, even though he isn't super strong. Butler is a solid playmaker off the dribble, capable of slicing through a rotating defense to score at the rim or find a teammate. He is also an efficient shooter and one that creates more space for his teammates to work.

[player_tooltip player_id='2393796' first='Carter' last='Ray Coggins'] rounds out my list of Off-The-Radar 2027s from this year's USC Team Camp. Coggins is one of the best shooters in the class and he started off the day hot in a matchup with Grovetown (GA). Carter hit a left-wing three and a straight-away three on his team's first two possessions. He moved well off the ball and got his feet set quickly to give himself a good look on the first two attempts. Carter will contribute defensively as well with active hands in help and the ability to draw charge.
