Coggins is another one of the elite shooters in the 2027 Class who earned a bump up in the rankings. Carter had a few good games in front of me this summer and has the potential to be an All-Region guy for Chapin this season.

Carter has stamped himself as one of the best shooters in South Carolina’s 2027 Class thanks to a very strong season with Carolina Pressure . Carter had a pair of big games this weekend, including a 5 3PM game and a 3 3PM game. I was there for the latter – an overtime loss to River City. It was an efficient day for Coggins, attempting six threes in the game. He is also a guy who will put his body on the line for the team, drawing charges and going for loose balls.

Carter Ray Coggins Carter Ray Coggins 5'10" | SG Chapin | 2027 State SC rounds out my list of Off-The-Radar 2027s from this year’s USC Team Camp. Coggins is one of the best shooters in the class and he started off the day hot in a matchup with Grovetown (GA). Carter hit a left-wing three and a straight-away three on his team’s first two possessions. He moved well off the ball and got his feet set quickly to give himself a good look on the first two attempts. Carter will contribute defensively as well with active hands in help and the ability to draw charge.
