One of the most intriguing and high-level prospects in SCISA this season was Kais. His combination of length and fluid movement is what has many in the Charleston area excited about his future, but he was ready this season to contribute. Parris was a defensive difference maker in Friday’s 4A State Championship, racking up 13 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Several of his rebounds came on the offensive end of the floor as well – an area that was a huge advantage for the Panthers. His jump shooting also stood out, knocking down a pair of mid-range jumpers and a three to go for 15 points.

Parris is another guy who put up big numbers on the stat sheet. He tallied 13 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in the loss, but was crucial to everything good for the Panthers in this one. Kais was huge on the glass, creating second chances on offense and limiting them on defense. He also showed a good feel for playing in the holes of the zone, hitting a couple of turnaround jumpers or finding his big man for layups on the block.

Kais is a big, physical wing who can make a difference on both ends of the floor. His length allows him to be creative at the rim and keep rim protectors off balance, while also taking smaller defenders into the post or working on the offensive glass. Parris has solid footwork and good instincts for tracking the ball. On defense, he contests shots well and is active in passing lanes. Kais put up 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks in Game Two.
