[player_tooltip player_id='2212734' first='Heath' last='French']: A Smart, Versatile Guard Who Does It All

[player_tooltip player_id='2212734' first='Heath' last='French'] is the kind of player that can fit in well on any team. Throughout the weekend, he showed he could score, create for others, defend, and rebound. French plays the game with a high IQ, and although he's a talented scorer, he still embodies a team-first mentality. He verbally picked his teammate up after they made a tough play.

Offensively, he showed he can knock down the pull-up jumper and create space off the bounce. He didn't force shots or hunt threes. He took what the defense gave him and made them pay. And even when he wasn't scoring, he was making the right reads and setting teammates up.

French is a strong secondary ball-handler who can easily shift into the lead guard role when needed. When [player_tooltip player_id='2212735' first='NJ' last='Gray'] was out, he got the team into good sets and ran the show. He's comfortable at the 1, 2, or 3 spot, and he can guard 1-4 on defense at the high school level. That positional versatility will benefit Branson going forward next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2089557' first='Saddiq' last='Alarbesh'] didn't see a shot he didn't like all weekend.

The lefty sharpshooter started his game against Bellarmine Prep by missing his first three-point attempt. But that was the only cold moment he had. He went on to knock down his next four threes and finished the game shooting 6-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Saddiq's able to shoot effortlessly from long range. His left-handed shot is smooth and quick, and he can repeat his stroke, which allows him to really lock-in and shoot with consistency. Off the bounce, he lures defenders in with a relaxed rhythm dribble, then rises up before they even realize he's pulling the trigger. And he's not just hitting high school threes—he's confidently stepping out and knocking down shots from NBA range from all around the arc. As he warmed up, his range seemed to stretch further and further. With that kind of confidence, quick release, and deep range, Saddiq always has the green light and is a threat the moment he crosses half court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2215149' first='Trevor' last='Dickson'], a 6'5” guard from Modesto Christian, showed poise beyond his years during a close battle against Branson. The 2027 prospect came out on fire—knocking down his first FIVE threes to open the game. He finished 5-for-7 from deep and 4-for-4 from the line, making it clear that he's one of the best shooters in the state.

What makes Dickson's jumper stand out isn't just the makes—it's the mechanics. He's got a quick release, and at 6'5” he doesn't shrink himself. He shoots a true jumper, elevates well, and lets it fly from a high release point that's tough to contest. It's a pretty shot, you can count the backspin rotations on the ball before it goes in; it's that clean. You really have to pick your poison with guarding Hudson and Jones one-on-one or giving Dickson room to shoot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819470' first='Aiden' last='Rollins'] of Elk Grove made his presence felt all weekend long. The 6'4” guard impressed with his deep shooting and showing his athleticism at the rim. One of his best performances with weekend cam against St.Patrick-Sr. Vincent (Vellejo, CA) Rollins knocked down five threes in that game alone and added a couple of highlight finishes at the rim. Most of his damage from deep came off the catch; he can put it on the hardwood as well and score off the bounce when he wants.

Rollins plays bigger than his listed height; he has a strong, athletic frame with long arms. He uses his size to create space and absorb contact. His size, strength, and shot-making ability are all traits that college scouts are drawn to.

Brayde Kuykendell: A Polished 3-Level Scorer

Brayde Kuykendell of Cal High (San Ramon, CA) has the kind of game that doesn't force the issue, but when it was time to take over on the St. Mary's campus, he did so with ease. In Cal High's matchup against Sac High, Kuykendell let the game come to him early, then flipped the switch when his team needed a spark, scoring chunks of points at times. Brayde's scoring burst showcased his full offensive bag. He got to his spots with ease, using his size, footwork, and feel to go either direction and mixed in midrange pull-ups, floaters, and strong finishes through contact. He ended the half with a couple of big and-1 plays that helped Cal High regain momentum.

At 6'6”, Kuykendell is a natural three-level scorer. He doesn't just hunt 3-point shots; he finds high-percentage looks, whether it's pulling up in space, attacking the rim, or spotting up from deep. His ability to read the defense and adjust without rushing makes him incredibly efficient.
