A smooth scorer with ideal size. Dickson is an elite next level shooter. He is also getting stronger and more athletic compared to this time last year.

Dickson is a lengthy and skilled wing/guard that can absolutely light it up from beyond the arc, as he is one of the best 3-point shooters in the West. Dickson had a strong Spring and Summer with the Oakland Soldiers EYBL 16s and 17s, as well as a great June in both scholastic live period events in Arizona and California, and he brought that high level of play to the Varsity Shootout. Dickson is nearly automatic with the 3-ball off the dribble or the catch, he moves fluidly off the ball to get to the open spot, gets his body ready to catch and shoot in rhythm, and uses the wide crossover to get to the mid-range jumper, where he gets good lift combined with his length to shoot over most defenders. Dickson showed improved confidence creating off the dribble, getting into the paint with the ability to finish with the floater down the lane or crafty finishes around the basket. Dickson is underrated on altering shots on the perimeter and the instincts to jump passing lanes and turn defense to offense. With Jones recently reclassifying to enroll at Stanford early, Dickson will be relied upon to shoulder more of the scoring load this coming season.

proved himself as one of the more reliable scoring options this summer, leading the Soldiers at 15 points per game while shooting an impressive 43% from three. If he ever happens to miss an open look, the rim may be at fault and you might want to double-check that the rim is regulation—his jumper is that pure.
At 6’5, Dickson doesn’t allow smaller guards to defend him with ease. He’s comfortable catching the ball free-throw line extended, facing up and simply shooting over the defense. But he’s far from just a spot-up threat. Dickson moves well without the ball. He’s able to cut and slash his way to easy baskets. His high basketball IQ allows him to impact the game in multiple ways.
His strong summer earned him a call-up to the U17 squad for Peach Jam, a stage where he showed he could hold his own against elite competition. With his size, shooting ability and versatility, Dickson is positioned to be one of the more intriguing guards in California’s 2027 class. Look for him to continue raising his profile as he continues to play a key role for a Modesto Christian team with great expectations this season.

, a 6’5” guard from Modesto Christian, showed poise beyond his years during a close battle against Branson. The 2027 prospect came out on fire—knocking down his first FIVE threes to open the game. He finished 5-for-7 from deep and 4-for-4 from the line, making it clear that he’s one of the best shooters in the state.
What makes Dickson’s jumper stand out isn’t just the makes—it’s the mechanics. He’s got a quick release, and at 6’5” he doesn’t shrink himself. He shoots a true jumper, elevates well, and lets it fly from a high release point that’s tough to contest. It’s a pretty shot, you can count the backspin rotations on the ball before it goes in; it’s that clean. You really have to pick your poison with guarding Hudson and Jones one-on-one or giving Dickson room to shoot.

Dickson has established himself as a top 3-point shooter in California’s 2027 Class. The long square shoulder prospect is getting the work done playing on the Soldiers EYBL 16 team putting up good numbers. He’s also a good defender making the effort to raise his overall play on the court.

It’s clear Dickson is one of the better 3-point shooters in the NorCal Class of 2027. He’ll space the court with his shooting. He’s determined to be more than just a shooter. He has long strides running the court, improving movements. He’s long, has improving lateral movement, and gives good effort on the defensive side of the ball. He’s still growing.
