A strong, athletic wing who rebounds, defends all positions, score the ball at a high rate, and has playmaking ability. French gives Branson whatever they are missing at the time. You can run your offense through him. He could play some point for stretches and he can defend the other teams best player.

has quietly put together one of the more impressive summers in NorCal, and it’s only a matter of time before more people take notice. The 6’4” guard/wing from The Branson School is as versatile as they come, capable of playing and guarding 1 through 3 beyond the high level.
He excels in space, plays with great pac,e and makes high-level decisions whether he’s finishing in transition or creating for others. French’s mid-range game is polished and crafty —built on footwork, timing and feel. And when defenses sag off, he can make them pay from the outside. French shoots the three at a decent clip.
What makes him stand out even more is his approach. No shortcuts taken—just steady progression, continuing to add to his game and play winning basketball. French isn’t skipping any steps, and he’ll reap benefits soon, as offers will come his way. Look for Branson to make a deep state run this coming season.

is the kind of player that can fit in well on any team. Throughout the weekend, he showed he could score, create for others, defend, and rebound. French plays the game with a high IQ, and although he’s a talented scorer, he still embodies a team-first mentality. He verbally picked his teammate up after they made a tough play.
Offensively, he showed he can knock down the pull-up jumper and create space off the bounce. He didn’t force shots or hunt threes. He took what the defense gave him and made them pay. And even when he wasn’t scoring, he was making the right reads and setting teammates up.
French is a strong secondary ball-handler who can easily shift into the lead guard role when needed. When

was out, he got the team into good sets and ran the show. He’s comfortable at the 1, 2, or 3 spot, and he can guard 1-4 on defense at the high school level. That positional versatility will benefit Branson going forward next season.

French has steadily increased his production since returning to Branson. He picked up an honorable mention playing only half the season and the play-offs. He’s learning how to be a contributor in different ways not just scoring. At 6’4 and growing he can facilitate up top, slash, and cut to score around the basket. He can hit the open jump shot. He fills the lane, or makes the pass up in transition. He defends on the perimeter, and helps inside, he works the boards. His best days are ahead.

In this type of setting you can play good basketball and not play in the top two games. That’s was French. He played consistent basketball in the three camp games we watched. He’s a multi-positional player who’s game continues to evolve. At 6’4 he showed an ability to facilitate in this setting, running the point in the half-court, pushing and passing up in transition. He used his dribble to take on defenders driving into the paint, he pulled up for mid-range jumpers, and dropped an occasional 3ptr. He defends multiple positions, boxes out for rebounds. He’s playing good basketball.

He’s an intriguing prospect with good size, a lengthy body, active arms and foot speed. He doesn’t really have a set position, that makes him a versatile prospect who can do other things. He’s moving the ball, making the pass from different areas on the court. He makes hard cuts to the basket, sets solid screens, and can play perimeter to the post. He runs the court both ways. We’ve seen him work from the high post, finding cutters, and shooters. He helps rebound and gives good effort on defense.

He has size and a versatile skill set that will only improve going forward. He’s shown himself to be a good ball handler with vision, and passing in transition. Working off ball using his dribble, he has the ability to attack the basket along the perimeter, or pull-up for a jumper, he’s a willing passer. We’ve seen him make cuts to the basket, finish inside. He works his way inside to get weak side offensive rebounds for put back points.
