The scholastic live periods are fast approaching and Philly Live will be among a few main epicenters for college coaches across the region. With hundreds of D1 coaches descending upon the City of Brotherly Love in just about 10 days, take a look at a few backcourt prospects from District 1 who will be among those with eyes on them.

Hiller made as big a splash as any in the region last year, vaulting right into the Coatesville starting five and earning national All-Freshman team honors as awarded by MaxPreps. For his encore, all he did was nearly lead the 15U EYBL in scoring before being selected as the youngest member of the USA U16 team that won the recent Americup tournament in Mexico. Philly Live figures to be his coming out party on the recruiting front as college coaches en masse see him up close for the first time. They figure to like what they see as Hiller brings a blend of size, shotmaking, feel, overall skill, and emerging athleticism the likes of which hasn't been seen in the area in some time. Multiple high-majors have already extended offers with more figuring to be on the way in just a matter of time.

Sajid is largely a known commodity in the area at this point, as the lanky and increasingly explosive guard has poured in buckets with impunity over the past two seasons. With size and length for the highest levels, his flashes of dynamic shotmaking off the dribble and catch coupled with developing off-the-dribble playmaking instincts have already caught eyes of college coaches and national scouts. After struggling a bit throughout the spring grassroots season, a few explosive scoring performances later this month could go a long way toward reestablishing himself across the region. His ability to make plays for others, refine his shot selection, and remain impactful in the floor game will be key determining factors in the eyes of mid and high-major coaches who have been evaluating him steadily over the past year.

Miller has been on the radar locally for some time now, starting as a freshman at Malvern Prep before transferring over to Conestoga and being a staple as the Pioneers' starting point guard ever since. A strong and compact downhill dribble-drive guard, he shows a tight and creative handle that he uses to create paint-touch opportunities with regularity. He looks to spark transition opportunities with his aggressive pace while being consistently unselfish as a passer. Already firmly on the scholarship radar, he could boost his standing as a prospect with refinement in his decisionmaking and growth as a perimeter shooter.

Thompson began emerging last summer before putting together a standout sophomore season and carrying that momentum right onto the grassroots circuit this spring against a notable uptick in competition. An attack-minded wing guard with a steady bounce in his step, Thompson plays with a controlled aggression while consistently looking to make things happen on either end. He's a capable shooter but really stands out with his fluid athleticism as a downhill attacker and sneaky feel as a passer. Thompson brings a natural intensity to the floor and a consistent nose for the ball on D. Still new to high-level competition, he can get caught playing too fast at times, but certainly looks on track to be a scholarship-level prospect with D1 potential depending on what level he reaches as a shooter.

Having slowly climbed the ranks of the perennially talented Whippet program, Moore finally will step into the role as the go-to guy entering his senior year. A jack-of-all-trades wing who's shown ability to fill in gaps effectively from a smaller role, he should have every opportunity to build on the scoring growth he showed over the course of a breakout junior year. Moore is an aggressive slasher with craft and polish attacking to either side, showing particular effectiveness playing out of triple threat from the perimeter. He's capable of climbing the ladder to finish above the rim in the flow with flashes of pullup shotmaking to boot. He lacks a true calling card for D1 programs but scholarship-level coaches would be wise to get eyes on him with his high school team before he returns to a glue-guy role in AAU.

As with any freshman point guard, there were bumps in the road at times, but Jajua mixed in plenty flashes of brilliance to provide optimism for the future while stepping into a starting role from his first day in high school. Back with a year of experience under his belt, he looks to emerge as one of the district's top players and most intriguing long-term prospects. A rangy lead guard still coming into his own, he uses a smooth, shifty bob-and-weave style attack off the bounce to touch the paint consistently off the dribble. He's still developing his feel as a true table-setter and refining his jump shot, but the upside is very apparent nonetheless as Jajua adds strength and experience in the years to come.
