[player_tooltip player_id='2334404' first='Tre' last='Watkins'] Metea Valley 2026

No such thing as big wins in the summer but Watkins helped his team get a big win over one of the state's top teams for next season in Bolingbrook. His composure to score in tight situations was good to see. Mid-range floaters and a nasty tip dunk over two defenders were key momentum plays. He finished with 18 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845356' first='Jaali' last='Love'] Waukegan 2026

Love was amazing in his matchup. Active on the boards blocked shots and steals led to dunks and assists on the break. Jaali has always been a high motor player and he is showing the progression to his game. He did a lot at a high level as he played out of the post and made a few shots from three. Love played like a high major player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1873523' first='Jamison' last='White'] East St. Louis 2026

Jamison was dominant on both sides of the ball against Mount Carmel. His dunks, blocks, and rebounds were done with power. White does a lot of things with force and it intimidates his opponents. He doesn't get enough praise for how well he passes the ball and scores when near the basket. He led his team with 15 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552393' first='Gabriel' last='Sularski'] Lemont 2026

Sularski had a very good start in his first game. As the lead facilitator Gabe does a good job of moving the ball well between his teammates. Once they are making shots he starts to attack himself and forces defenders to choose. Gabe had made tough shots look routine. After hitting his first three Sularski began to attack downhill and added pressure by getting to the foul line repeatedly. He led all scorers with 22 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323283' first='Chris' last='Bolte'] St. Ignatius 2026

Bolte was good against Joliet West in spurts. He started the game off with some surprising athletic dunks and then worked well as a passer because of the attention he received. In the second half, he was able to shake for some space and make a couple from three. Chris has a lot of attention from the mid-major schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845357' first='Noah' last='Mister'] (Mount Carmel) 2026

Shook off a rough first game and played well against Lemont. Danced with the ball and scored a lot at the basket. He closed the game out making shots to put the game away.

[player_tooltip player_id='2749990' first='Zane' last='Schneider'] Lemont 2026

After having a big last week I watched him closer today and he was as good as advertised. Skilled shooter who is a solid second scorer to Sularski. Zane hit a trio of threes and finished with 20 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125619' first='Dshaun' last='Bolden'] Oswego East 2027

Bolden was instrumental in Oswego's second-half comeback. He plays with a motor and has good length for a guard as a junior. Dshuan disrupts with his on-ball pressure and offensively he elevates around the basket sometimes for dunks or athletic layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1435692' first='Rykan' last='Woo'] Depaul Prep 2026

Woo is one of the better guards in the state. He is being recruited hard by many schools because he plays very hard and is used as a Swiss army knife. If you need points he can shoot it, score in the lane, or make passes to teammates. If you need a key stop he's either disturbing the ball handler or jumping passing lanes for steals. He has a crazy upside as a guard and most schools feel he can come and help their program immediately.
