Here is a recap of the top bigs from last week's Riverside Brookfield Shootout.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845360' first='Rashaun' last='Porter'] DePaul Prep 2026 6'7

A bruiser in the paint who plays hard on offense and defense. Rashaun is a problem on the glass and he makes opposing big men pay if they don't like physicality. His post play is sound but it's his shot from 15 feet that has gotten better. Porter is one of the few big men who has fine-tuned his game each summer and made the improvements the next season. He has garnered attention from some local mid-major programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105376' first='Colin' last='Stack'] Benet 2026 7'0

Colin has repeatedly shown how well he's increasing his offensive productivity while still holding things down on defense as a rim protector and rebounder. He has been able to knock down an occasional three when left open. Stack may not put up huge scoring numbers but he is always around to clean up missed shots with two-handed dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552460' first='Bryce' last='Wegrzyn'] Libertyville 2026 6'8

Bryce is still a player who seems to be underrated despite his scoring output and how hard he plays. Wegrzyn was pretty consistent at scoring in the mid to upper twenties points per game. He is a difficult cover because he shoots it well for a big man but is also a threat as a driver to the rim. As soon as coaches get more of a feel for him I'm sure he will start receiving multiple offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552625' first='EJ' last='Hazelett'] Kankakee 2026

This was my first glance at EJ since making the transfer to Kankakee and I would say his first impression was solid. He is an active forward who will be helpful on the glass. Hazelett plays at a controlled pace with the ball operates mostly from 15 feet and in. He is fundamentally sound by the basket and doesn't shy away from contact. He is getting attention from low to mid-major schools and that seems about right for now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1873523' first='Jamison' last='White'] East St. Louis

The smaller brother of the two. He's mobile and physical. Jamison handles the ball some and can stretches defenses with an outside shot. He moves well for a player of his build. Coaches are interested.

Jahadi White East St.louis

Jahadi is the more physically mature brother who is nimble on his feet. He is a space eater on defense and very intimidating to players who come his way. On offense he's skilled and fundamentally sound around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845356' first='Jaali' last='Love'] Waukegan 2026

Love is a 6'7 long and athletic big man that likes to gobble up offensive boards and is more of a face-up guy. Jaali plays hard and runs the court just as well as the guards. He can switch on multiple positions on defense and has the length to disrupt passes and shots. Has D1 potential and could use a year or two of JUCO to add strength to be effective.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552440' first='Adam' last='Anwar'] McHenry 2026

First time watching Anwar at R-B. A legitimate 6'7 stretch four man that uses a combination of skills, physically, and athleticism. He surprised me with how well he handled the ball and was able to draw opposing bigs on the perimeter to guard him. He has the skillset and capabilities to be a division 1 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125634' first='Hayden' last='Schroeder'] Wheaton Academy 2027

Hayden is the best big man in his class. Very skilled post player who showed his touch and solid footwork playing in the post. Schroeder rebounded the ball well, ran the floor, and fought for positioning in the post. He will be a priority for colleges in two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125637' first='Jacob' last='Fuller'] Glenbrook South 2027

Another player in the junior class who has good upside and scores very well for his size at 6'8. Jacob is a face-up stretch four man that can be a handful in a pick-and-pop game plan. Fuller went for 22 points in a loss to Kenwood.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532003' first='Joey' last='Jakstys'] Yorkville 2028

Watching Joey play you can automatically see the upside. A versatile big man that can shoot and drive to the basket. He's athletic and just a little more coordinated than his older brother at this stage of his career. Jakstys is a competitor and challenges anything near the rim. He had a very good game against Maine South where he scored 25 points and pulled in many rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297870' first='Matthew' last='Szafoni'] Lane Tech 2026

Szafoni had a big day on Sunday against a good Ridgewood squad. He's an active 6'7 forward who made shots from three and was hard to stop from scoring in the paint. He was very productive on the glass as well high-pointing rebounds and getting his hands on several blocked shots. Szafoni finished with 26 points and over double-digit rebounds. Later was offered by Illinois State. Low to mid major prospect that more coaches will be checking in on now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] Lyons Township 2028

Grant got his first taste at varsity this weekend and didn't disappoint. His activity and athleticism just set him apart from others. Smith seems to always be moving and involved wherever the ball is. He has good ball skills and is also effective from long range. Grant is young and will continue to develop more of a feel for the game. But to score 29 and 26 points in two games and never have a player varsity shows that he may have some high-major potential.
