Rankings Release: 2028 Guards that Go

We've updated the rankings for the Class of 2028, which means it's time to acknowledge some of the prospects that made the list.   Today, we'll start our positional breakdown by looking at the Guards.   Below are five prospects, from throughout the Top 100, that cracked our latest rankings update.    Reaves, a combo guard out of the Frederick Gunn School in Connecticut, impresses with his combination of athleticism, physicality, and skill. A capable handler, he makes plays for himself and others off the bounce, showing good burst and impressive floor vision. He has a quick first step and, with a mature frame, is able to power his way to the rim as a driver. He knocks down shots in catch and shoot situations and continues to evolve as a decision maker out of ball screens.     Herren, a combo guard out of the Wheeler School in Rhode Island, is a multi-level scorer that makes teammates better with his decision making. He's done a good job in the weight room, which shows in his ability to play through contact as a driver. He processes the game quickly and makes an impressive array of passes on the move. As a shooter, he's consistent from behind the arc, both in catch and shoot situations and also when getting into his jumper off the bounce.     White, a lead guard out of Dexter Southfield School in Massachusetts, is a terrific decision maker that knows how to score and processes the game at a high level. Offensively, he has the ability to pick apart a defense both as a driver and facilitator with the pass. He has a quick first step, plays at different speeds, and scores with some creativity in the paint. Defensively, he has the ability to read angles and is willing to give up his body to take charges and dive on loose balls.      Farmer, a lead guard out of St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, is a facilitator that knows how to get to his spots and finds teammates in scoring positions. A lefty, he delivers passes on time and on target to shooters, has the ability to get anywhere on the floor off the bounce, and is capable of making good decisions out of ball screens. He has a nice scoring package around the rim, shoots it consistently from behind the arc, and is a gritty and tough on-ball defender.     Tayebati, a scoring guard out of Beaver Country Day School in Massachusetts, has the ability to score at multiple levels, both as an on-ball threat and off-ball scorer. He does a nice job of playing through contact, getting to his spots off the bounce and finishing with either hand around the rim. He can make tough shots in the mid-range and has the ability to make shots with range in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he guards both spots in the back-court and foces turnovers in passing lanes.
