Tayebati, a scoring guard out of Beaver Country Day School in Massachusetts, has the ability to score at multiple levels, both as an on-ball threat and off-ball scorer. He does a nice job of playing through contact, getting to his spots off the bounce and finishing with either hand around the rim. He can make tough shots in the mid-range and has the ability to make shots with range in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he guards both spots in the back-court and foces turnovers in passing lanes.

Tayebati might’ve been the best shooter in the gym for the all-star game on Thursday. He knocked down 3 of his 3 three-point attempts and showed a really solid-looking release, especially for an incoming freshman; it’s quick, compact and accurate, and he gets great rotation on the ball. He also does a good job using his off hand to blow by defenders and has a nasty hang finish in his bag. Defensively, he’s active on the ball and solid in the passing lanes. Tayebati should improve a lot at Beaver this coming season.
