PH OK State Tournament: 17U Showtime Players

Athletic perimeter prospect, who's skill level appears to be developing at a similar rate to his athleticism. Trending more to potentially be more of a 2/3. Even has some secondary creation ability, complete with the vision for no look feeds and more. Has shot it consistently well from three in multiple viewings this spring and that continued this past weekend. Complete player, who also is becoming one of the better athletes in the class. With explosive finishing ability at the rim.     Small town grinder, who is strong and athletic on drives. Leaned into bully ball aspects at times, with the way he muscled into the lane and finished through contact. But still has his great mid-range game and overall scoring ability. True hooper, who seems to always be ready to get some run. And score some buckets. Type of prospect who's play mentality indicates he will find a spot at the next level and thrive.     Crafty point guard prospect, who does a good job of playing at his own pace. Good vision and table setting abilities, from lobs, playing out of ball screens and showtime passes in transition. Capable of scoring in spots too, with three point shooting ability. Or snaking to the basketball by changing gears and having good handles. Bet on production prospect, who has simply got it done over the last two years at Fort Gibson and now two successful grassroots springs.     Buckley packs quite a scoring punch. Has range from deep, with stepback moves and other confident off the dribble makes. While also playing compact and strong on drives to the rim. Giving him the balance and strength to finish through contact for "And 1s". Has had a very productive start to his high school career with two strong seasons at Kellyville. And it has carried over into the springs as a ringleader for successful 2027 based squads.     Johnson continued to show above average burst and finishing ability around the rim. Routinely earned paint touches on a Team Oklahoma team filled with floor spacing shooters. Because of this his driving ability and passing, he helped "stir the drink" in the halfcourt. Also showed some clutch DNA on Sunday morning. Down one, he drew a foul on a drive. Calmly drilled both free throws to put them ahead with 11 seconds, leading to a victory.     Athletic prospect from northeast Oklahoma, who closed out the tournament with a strong display of his bouncy dunking abilities. Gets off the floor quickly and with great elevation. Overall, really thrived in the up and down nature of the game watched. "And 1" finishes on drives. Even hitting from deep. Intriguing athletic upside with the ability to score the rock.     Smith was a bright spot for his team on a tough Saturday. Good size and athleticism, even punched home a nice tomahawk dunk in transition. Also was able to hit a few times from distance, and even get into the mid-range with good pull ups. Interesting tools with scoring and athleticism, for a new name to track in the 405.     Finished out the tournament strong, helping to deliver a win for his Titans team. Had customary scoring in transition, fitting to the AAU environment. But also got downhill in the halfcourt, and earned trips to the line for old fashion three point plays. Also posted up a smaller guard on the block too. Interesting scoring signs for the Bethel Wildcat.
