The spring live period of the 2025 recruiting calendar concluded last month and did not disappoint. Amongst the state of the New Jersey, we saw a laundry list of prospects shine bright during May's live period—delivering strong performances and boosting their stocks. With the first live period fully in the rear view mirror, let's dive into some more 2027 backcourt prospects that boosted their stocks last month.

A smooth, multi-level shot maker, [player_tooltip player_id='2504912' first='Chace' last='Redler'] was on a tear during the May live period, putting up a handful of strong scoring performances. Redler played under control with impressive pace getting to his spots. Redler showcased his ability to be a versatile perimeter shot maker while also demonstrating his ability to get to his mid-range pull up, particularly in PnR situations. Despite having a slightly smaller frame, Redler also showcased his ability to get deep in the paint and finish with strength around the basket.

An impressive weekend for [player_tooltip player_id='2858268' first='Sean' last='Perrotta'] saw him thrive as a lead guard for NJ Panthers' 16U Showcase group. Perrotta thrived getting to his spots both around the perimeter, shooting it efficiently from three point range as well as getting to his midrange. Perrotta also did a good job of getting in the paint and finishing through contact and with craftiness around the basket.

Over the course of the initial live period this spring, Joey DiOrio had a strong weekend showcasing his ability to be a versatile guard. An absolute sniper from three point range, DiOrio consistently burried shots from the perimeter. DiOrio also demonstrated his ability to be a reliable facilitator, creating advantageous scoring opportunities for his teammates.

A confident perimeter shot maker, De'On Armstrong demonstrated his ability to be a lethal threat from the perimeter. The left handed guard excelled off the ball as a floor spacer, consistently making defenses pay for weak help side defense or late closeouts .

A tough and gritty small guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2201964' first='Elijah' last='Caldwell'] excelled in the ways he was effective both as a floor general while also still being just as effective off the ball. A reliable decision maker on the ball, Caldwell continued to demonstrate he's capable of running an offense and setting the table for his teammates. Over the course of the May live period, Caldwell also showcased his improving ability as a shooter off the ball. Defensively, Caldwell was much of himself— being disruptive at the POA and forcing opposing ball handlers into turnovers.
