Luke Beran is a versatile wing/forward who helped lead his Mac Irvin Fire team to the 13u title in a dominant display. Capable of playing just about every position on the floor, Luke spent some time handling the ball for his team, he spent some time out on the wing, and he spent some time using his 6'2 frame to go to work in the paint. Luke is a talented passer who sees the floor well, and has the height to zip in passes over the top of the defense to cutting teammates. Showed good body control to pin a defender on his shoulder and extend to finish with either hand around the rim.

Sola had some nice moments in the 8am game for [program_tooltip program_id='2075681' first='Minnesota' last='Magic'] on Sunday. The Eden Prairie guard has such a shifty handle, and was using it to get to his spots and create for his teammates. Did a nice job of stopping on two feet, and if the defense sagged off he could pull-up for a mid-range jumper. When that shot wasn't available though, he dished out a handful of assists dumping it off to his bigs around the rim. Because he could beat his man off the dribble consistently, help-side defenders were forced to step in on him, leaving teammates wide open for easy looks.

Jude looks like he could be a long-term prospect to track in Wisconsin's 2029 class. Already standing at 6'2 coming into high school, he's a long and agile guard who can handle the ball or play out on the wing. I saw him defend nearly every spot on the floor, as he moves his feet well laterally and has the length to make plays in the passing lanes. He scored 20 points and hit the game winning shot for his team in the semi-finals, and played a key role for his team in a 2OT loss in the finals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2438710' first='Damien' last='Barnes Jr']. was all over the floor coming up with plays for MPLS Hustlers over the weekend. Both offensively and defensively, his speed made a difference for the 14u champs. He was a pest on the ball, applying constant pressure to opposing guards, and showing quick hands + good timing to poke the ball free for steals. From there no one could catch him in the open floor as he racked up easy lay-ups. In the half-court he showed a quick first step to blow by defenders, and once he got downhill there wasn't much you could do to stop him. Damien had some impressive finishes as he has the athleticism to just hang in the air and find ways to score over/around defenders.

Cam was one of the best players at the 13u level, combing impressive quickness with a tight handle to get to any spot he wanted to. He seemed to be running circles around defenders at times, and was fearless attacking the basket against size. In the championship game against a Mac Irvin Fire team that typically had 2-3 6'2+ players on the floor at a time, Cam was going right at them and lookin to finish at the rim. Could also stop on a dime for a pull-up jumper, proving to be a three level scoring threat. The 2030 point guard has a motor that just never seems to stop running.

Ronmel is another intriguing prospect coming up out of the [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy'] program. The 2030 guard got off to a hot start in the 13u semi-finals, knocking down a pair of threes while getting to the rim for two more buckets within the opening few minutes. He was bringing energy to both ends of the floor, and had his team fired up against a loaded Mac Irvin Fire team. Although they fell just short in the end, I liked the competitive edge he showed. Already standing at 5'9, he has a long and athletic frame that bodes well as he continues to develop in his last year before high school.

Micah was a true floor general for his [program_tooltip program_id='2075693' first='MN' last='Crossfire'] team. He may not have been putting up the eye catching scoring numbers of some of the other guys on this list, but his ability to spot an open teammate helped his team put a lot of points on the board. He's so quick on the ball, and was able to maneuver his way into dangerous areas on the floor before kicking it out to his shooters. He always seemed to know where the ball had to go next before it even came to him, allowing him to make quick decisions and not waste any dribbles. The type of point guard guys love to have on their team.
