His frame creates issues for defenses and that was demonstrated with him consistently drawing whistles at the cup while enduring contact. Beran read the defense on a different dimension with plus IQ through multiple phases impacting in transition with strong pitch ahead passes and the ability to run the floor himself for finishes. The Benet 2030 class has multiple threats and Beran adds as an additional intriguing package in his young career.

Luke Beran is a versatile lefty prospect who wasted no time getting into his offense, whether catching and firing from deep or attacking the basket with two dribbles for a contact finish. He has a knockdown one-dribble rhythm pull-up jumper in the mid-range that defenders struggled to contest. Along with his scoring ability, Beran flashed good size and court vision, surveying the floor and hitting teammates in advantageous positions.

Luke Beran is a versatile wing/forward who helped lead his Mac Irvin Fire team to the 13u title in a dominant display. Capable of playing just about every position on the floor, Luke spent some time handling the ball for his team, he spent some time out on the wing, and he spent some time using his 6’2 frame to go to work in the paint. Luke is a talented passer who sees the floor well, and has the height to zip in passes over the top of the defense to cutting teammates. Showed good body control to pin a defender on his shoulder and extend to finish with either hand around the rim.

He’s willing to hit the floor for loose balls and stays active around the rim, both offensively and defensively. Beran impacts the game by doing a little bit of everything—running the floor, crashing the glass, and generating extra possessions.
