A mix of activity and toughness on both ends of the floor. Defensively, competed hard on the glass, used his physicality to push drivers off their lines, and showed some rim protection ability. Offensively, showed promise with his three-point shot and passing feel, making quick reaction passes to cutters and off-ball curlers. Also displayed the ability to grab rebounds and get the offense moving in transition, while crashing the offensive glass when opportunities presented themselves.

Johnson played like a man among boys. The outside shot was there, as was his ability to take it to the hole, but his defensive intensity is what really jumped out. Johnson was a menace on that side of the ball, getting back first in transition and hounding opposing ball-handlers. In Johnson, you’re getting a true hustle player who doesn’t take plays off. His willingness to go all-out even when the ball wasn’t in his hands made him one of the more consistent competitors on the floor. Well-rounded two-way player with skill on both sides of the ball.

Grayson Johnson showcased his all-around effectiveness as he was just as dangerous as a rebounder as he was a facilitator and scorer. Johnson used his length and frame to clean up misses and carve out space deep in the paint, while also proving nearly unstoppable when driving downhill. Johnson’s combination of speed, strength, and long strides made him a force with a full head of steam. His scoring gravity often drew multiple defenders, allowing him to seamlessly shift into a playmaking role. He also displayed great timing on rebounds, with the bounce to hang in the air and tip misses back in.
