Armani has looked the part as a solid 2-way combo guard with Olney Elite this summer. His shot-creating ability seems to have improved since the regular season with Blake. Fowlkes got to his spots with ease. His team could count on him to score from behind the line, off the dribble-drive or pullup, or by cutting to the basket. Armani took pride on the defensive end and caused havoc for the opposing offense. He never looked like he was forcing a shot up out there and took makeable opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2623334' first='Lane' last='Mahan'] was lethal in his team's championship run at Summer Madness League. He made shots from everywhere on the court, really dangerous to leave open. He moved well with and without the ball, finding his spots nicely. Lane got to places on the floor where he knew he was most effective. This was a big reason for his strong play, which earned him the co-MVP award. Smooth shooting wing that utilizes every category in the box scores and intangibly.

Samartine' impressed me with his all-around play with [program_tooltip program_id='2077005' first='Team' last='Thrill'] DQ recently. He scored the ball well in spurts with smooth shooting and timely drives. His biggest impact on the game was his defense and critical late-game playmaking. Samartine' carried the team through the final minutes with crucial assists to shooters and cutters. He was able to slice through the first line of defense and get into scoring position in order to find his guys. Defensively he took the task of guarding some big-time guys like Lonnie Lyons, and Samartine' was causing them severe problems. Countless steals and deflections that mounted up to big wins for his team.

I enjoyed seeing Malachi perform in his minutes with Gonzaga at Summer Madness League. He used his scoring prowess well to create flow for the offense. Made some hockey assists and played solid defense. He was active every time he stepped on the floor and never wasted his minutes. It was nice to see Malachi contribute effectively in other aspects than scoring. While he produced in other ways, his team played better and his offense became easier. Has the potential to become one of the most coveted guards in the area during this next year and a half.

Got a chance to see the incoming freshmen Dylan Higginbotham a few times in the last few weeks. He has been one of my favorite 2029 prospects to watch so far. Smooth handle with the ball that helps him glide through the defenses and create plays offensively. Dylan shoots the 3-ball with great range and confidence, took a few eye-opening shots at times but showed his ability to knock them down. His team trusts him to run the 1 and he does so effectively. Found teammates through the pick-and-roll or just by driving and kicking to create motion. Valuable player to have on the floor and his game will increase over time with reps.
