Aidan turned in a couple of well-rounded scoring games for John Carroll on their way to a solid day. Aidan seemed to be in control each time he had the ball. Made the right decisions and attacked when he saw the space to create. Did a good job of taking efficient shots, and stayed with it if he missed a few in a row. Aidan was able to draw a lot of fouls when he attacked the rim, which is a skill that isn't often taught. Natural scorer that got to all the shots he wanted, whether off the dribble or by spotting up outside.

Greg was unstoppable Saturday in his two games as Pallotti looked great in their first day. He finished with 26 in each game along with 5+ rebounds. The way he scored the ball was impressive, leaving no doubt that he can be a 3-level scorer consistently for any team. His strong summer continued into the day. Looked comfortable pulling up in the midrange over contests, as well as slashing inside and going up with the bigs. Greg is clearly embracing the role as the team's main option and it has worked well all summer. He has improved his versatility and production level game in and game out. Potential stock-riser heading into the season.

Andrew joins his teammate Able as one of Saturday's top prospects I saw. He was a force on the glass in each of his games ending both with 7+ rebounds. John Carroll handled both their opponents and it was in big thanks to [player_tooltip player_id='2547300' first='Andrew' last='Clark']. He was a nice 2-way factor who could knock down perimeter shots. His versatility as an inside-outside threat is a big boost to the way Carroll likes to run their offense. Clark always seemed to find baskets for himself while playing within his role. When Andrew plays well, the team can hang with anyone. As long as he stays consistent each game, Andrew will produce for John Carroll in a big way night in and night out. Saturday was a reminder of just that, as Clark finished with 17 points on 5-5 from the field as his best performance to date.

Izzy had an efficient outing vs Boys' Latin, finishing with 19 points and 12 boards. He started slow but finished the game strong, grabbing a fair amount of offensive rebounds and putback layups. He stepped beyond the arc and hit a big three to try to will Good Counsel back in it, but his effort was just short. Still, Izzy showcased his versatility as both a playmaker and a big body on the inside. Used both facets of his game in a big way, truly acting as a force inside the arc all game long.

Rising sophomore Rob 'Sonny' Moore left no doubt that he will be a factor for McDonogh both now and in the future. Scored in double digits both games Saturday and provided a lot of energy. Sonny played hard on both sides of the ball, grabbing a couple steals in each game. His game against Landon was one to see, as he seemed to make shot after shot that left the defense helpless. Sonny scored from the perimeter on into the paint with strong and smooth drives. Does a good job creating space with a slick handle that's too unpredictable for the defense to stay in front of. Confident shooter off the dribble and effective already as a shorter guard. Sonny will be a problem for opponents.

Noah continues to improve his game each time I see him perform. This time looking smooth when creating shots for himself off the dribble. Noah is able to create space with much less effort handling the ball, easing his way to the rim or shedding the contact in few dribbles. Started his day with 16 points vs Good Counsel then really showed well against Pallotti, dropping in 28. Sulaiman always stays active defensively pulling in rebounds and nabbing steals all game. Plays an aggressive brand of defense that allows for nothing easy from the opponent. Attacked the rim well using his dribble and his body in order to take the contact and finish in close.

Yusuf was dominant yet again in another DMV Live appearance. He was a beast in the paint and showed incredible touch and patience along with strength and IQ. Finished a lot of layups while shedding off defense. Gets to the rim with a smooth dribble to shake the defense off. From there he can rise into a shot or take it to the basket, doing both effectively. Yusuf caught fire beyond the arc this game as well, netting 4 triples on his way to a 24 point 12 rebound double-double. Amazing how lethal Zaid is as an offensive weapon as a rising freshman. He will surely be a top prospect in his 2029 class.
