On Monday night it was a couple of shootout games less than 10 miles from Prep Hoops Indiana headquarters. On Tuesday night it was a 229 mile trip to Chesterton High School for their Tuesday night summer league. That commitment to covering the entire state is what sets our coverage apart from any and all competition. Even with the Charlie Hughes Showcase coming this weekend that does not serve as an excuse to take it easy during the week. Here are some of the standouts from our trip up to the Chesterton Summer League.

This was our first time really seeing Jarrett play and will certainly be adding him to our Class of 2027 database going forward. After a solid sophomore season, Jarrett looks ready to take on a larger role as a junior at Munster High School. The 6'3" wing was very effective in transition, had success attacking closeouts, and used his combination of length and athleticism to be disruptive defensively.

Johnson is as physical as they come in terms of wings in the Class of 2028. His strength and positional physicality is what allowed him to carve out a role as a freshman for a South Bend Riley team that advanced to Semi-State. However, on Tuesday night, Johnson flashed some improved catch-and-shoot ability which would really take his game to the next level as a prospect. That continued development will be something to monitor going forward.

This rising sophomore point guard looks ready to take over ball handling duties for South Bend Riley High School. He did a great job on Tuesday evening handling the consistent ball pressure that Gary 21st Century threw at him. Neely Jr. is "just" about 5'8" but had no issue taking care of the ball and winning one-on-one matchups to either go score himself or find an open teammate while attacking the basket.

We usually try to focus on guys who don't get as much publicity in these write-ups, but this article wouldn't be complete without talking about Pokorney's performance on Tuesday night. He looks like someone poised for a breakout at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. The 6'4" guard was shooting the lights out from deep, creating his own mid-range pull-ups, and then scoring via back cuts as the defense would overcommit. It was as good as we have seen him play. Look for there to potentially be some new scholarship opportunities come his way over the course of the next week.

College coaches are always looking to uncover some under-the-radar big men and Schneider is definitely one worth knowing heading into the summer months. The 6'7" center from Chesterton High School had a couple of impressive interior post moves, but also connected on three three-point shots across the two games we watched on Tuesday night. His size and flashes of a true inside-outside game make him an intriguing small college prospect.

The first prospect to catch our attention on Tuesday night, Young obviously standouts out first and foremost with his size. Not only is he 6'8", but he has a big body that takes up a lot of room and is impossible to move on the low block. However, despite his size, Young has very quick feet and excellent interior footwork. He used that footwork to score consistently with his back to the basket with both hands. It was a very impressive performance for the Gary 21st Century rising junior.
