Charlie Hughes Showcase: Kyler’s Player Notes Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There is no better event on the calendar from an evaluation or recruiting standpoint than the annual IBCA/IHSAA Charlie Hughes Showcase. This weekend, which is a live evaluation period for Division I college coaches, most of the best teams in the state of Indiana will descend on Carmel and Westfield High Schools for an absolutely excellent three days of basketball. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off to the final buzzer all weekend long. Here are some of my quick player notes from some guys that caught my attention over the weekend. Thought he did a pretty solid job getting into the lane as a bigger guard and trying to get through contact. Really long, athletic, and plays with such smoothness. He has that unique ability to make you think that every time he shoots it, it goes in. He came into the weekend with a host of offers and I would expect more to come his way. Lesure is built like a running back and is extremely quick on the ball. Was one of the better defenders I saw on the day too getting sticky with the on-ball guard and causing havoc. He is recently coming off a lower body injury so while he is not up to full speed yet, he did some nice things off the ball for the Red Devils. Incredible smooth and always has his hands, feet, and entire body ready to shoot. Really good at scoring both and off the ball with elite smoothness. While he does not do anything flashy, he does his job in the post very well being a force on the glass, scoring with a soft touch, and making sharp passes out of the spot. Fey is a quick guard that can space the floor well. Plays with a high motor and microwave scoring ability. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
