252 Invitational 16U Guard Standouts

At the event, we were able to check out some of the top players in the area code all playing under one roof. He's small in stature but makes up for it with a shifty handle and the ability to be an absolute pest on the defensive end. It was my first time seeing him since his final middle school season last year and he looks like a far better player since then. He's quick and shifty with the ball in his hands with good poise and a solid jump shot that allows him to play off the ball. Defensively he was an absolute terror on opposing offenses averaging just under 2 steals per contest but overall making it tough for other guards to get a rhythm. On the other end, he got downhill at will finishing multiple times at the rim, and even showcased an improved jumper in the mid range. He got to the line repeatedly putting constant pressure on the rim and knocked down a few tough jumpshots as well.
