2026 Rankings Update: Top Wings

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the spring now complete we now turn to where prospects stand heading into the June evaluation periods at the end of the month.&nbsp; With that said we have updated our 2026 class rankings.&nbsp; We break down every position including here in <strong>2026 Rankings Update: Top Wings</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams'] (Kankakee)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams put a stamp on the #1 spot this spring for the [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] averaging 23 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while leading them to a perfect record in the EYCL.&nbsp; Williams has had the top spot for almost a year and is not going to let go.&nbsp; Big time athlete with a long frame, broad shoulders, and emerging strength.&nbsp; Legit three level scorer, but is best at getting to the cup where he finishes so well.&nbsp; Like what he brings to the table as a wing defender with his athleticism and positioning.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552393' first='Gabriel' last='Sularski'] (Lemont)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sularski is coming off a strong close to his high school season at Lemont where you could see him becoming much more comfortable with his new role and teammates.&nbsp; This spring he ran with Team Herro in the Nike EYBL.&nbsp; Good size wing that can score it from all three levels and has improved as a passer getting his teammates involved.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552625' first='EJ' last='Hazelett'] (Kankakee)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hazelett is moving into the state after playing in Indiana where he was one of the top players in his class there.&nbsp; Big lefty combo forward that can handle it off the bounce, is a finisher around the hoop out of the dunker spot, runs the floor, and is a capable shooter.&nbsp; Shows potential as a perimeter defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2376270' first='Semaj' last='Stampley'] (Alton)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stampley is the top rising senior in the metro east.&nbsp; Strong and athletic two guard that is a bucket getter!&nbsp; Powerful and athletic scoring guard that has the ability to take over games with his shot making, burst to the rim, and finishing ability in traffic.&nbsp; Upside as an improving on ball playmaker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mason Lockett (Oswego East)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lockett is a two guard that has a lot of upside.&nbsp; He is a rangy wing that has physical projectability.&nbsp; Slithery driver, cuts off the ball, and has a pure looking perimeter shooting stroke.&nbsp; The swing skill is if he can become a big time backcourt defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2734366' first='Jayden' last='Williams'] (Rich Township)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams is a wing that broke out during his junior season.&nbsp; The versatility is what stands out for Williams.&nbsp; He is a big time perimeter defender that can impact on that end.&nbsp; Good spot up shooter off the catch from three.&nbsp; Really grew as a slasher over the last year with his ability to get to the rim on straight line takes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2045857' first='Ethan' last='Hillsman'] (Joliet West)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hillsman moved into Illinois last year and after a rocky start really came into his own the second half of the high school season for Joliet West.&nbsp; This wing has size, strength, and athleticism.&nbsp; The physical tools are definitely all there.&nbsp; Explosive slasher and transition player.&nbsp; Swing skill is the shooting as it can be a bit streaky at times, but can also make them.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1501486' first='Ben' last='Akoro'] (O'Fallon)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Akoro is an upside small forward with his long and athletic frame.&nbsp; His best asset might be his feel for the game.&nbsp; Skilled wing that can handle it and makes pinpoint passing.&nbsp; His ability to set others up is his best gift.&nbsp; Like what he brings as a mid-range pull up jump shooter with feathery shots rising over the defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1845353' first='Amir' last='Danforth'] (Rockford Auburn)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Danforth was the first in the class to make his college commitment heading to North Dakota State.&nbsp; They are getting a good athlete at the two guard spot that when he gets rolling can absolutely fill it up from distance.&nbsp; Solid shooter from three with a lot of arc on his shots.&nbsp; Plays well in transition shielding the ball from defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552394' first='Andre' last='Tyler'] (Simeon)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tyler has one of the highest ceilings in the class.&nbsp; The shooting guard from historic Simeon is a freak show athlete that when locked in can absolutely take over games with his slashing, transition play, and shooting.&nbsp; Being consistent game in and game out will take his game to the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552436' first='Karson' last='Thomas'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas is a wing that has been intriguing for a long time now.&nbsp; Strong frame with plus athleticism.&nbsp; He can defend multiple positions.&nbsp; Solid shot maker from the perimeter with and explosive burst getting downhill putting pressure on the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
