Today, I'll be recapping some of the best under the radar players that I've seen this spring. These are players who aren't playing on shoe teams but have had productive AAU seasons where they've shown that they can play at the college level. Let's get started.

Ricca has had an excellent AAU season for NE Elite. He looks to have gotten stronger since the high school season, which is helping him keep his line on drives and get into the heart of the defense for finishes and rim reads. He has a really nice handle and a quick first step, and he can also shoot it from the outside and make plays for his teammates. He should be a key cog for St. Paul's School next season and my guess would be that he plays fairly high D3 college basketball the year after that. Really solid player and a tough cover.

There are honestly a host of BCRI guys who could've been on this list, because their team is filled with players who aren't too flashy but consistently make the right play and understand how to operate in a system. Bazzano is no different; he can shoot the lights out, and he never holds the ball for too long whenever he touches it. He always knows what he's going to do with it, which makes him an excellent role player. He's a great closeout attacker and makes smart, under control decisions when he gets into the paint, whether for himself or his teammates. Definite high D3 player in my opinion, despite his size.

Miller has had a productive season with Team Sims but probably doesn't get the attention he deserves because of how talented their roster is. He's a 6-foot-7 wing/forward that can step out and hit the three ball but also uses his length and long strides to be effective in transition as a scorer and slasher. He also has a knack for finishing around the hoop, where he uses smart footwork and crafty head fakes to create room for himself to convert against larger defenders. Like Ricca, Miller should be a key player on St. Paul's next season and will certainly end up on a college roster somewhere, perhaps even at the D2 level.

Okpara doesn't start for the Middlesex Magic but provides excellent energy and little things every time he enters the game. The 6-foot-6 forward is undersized for the big position, but he's relentless on the boards and uses his amazing length to stifle opposing bigs and wings. His midrange game and touch around the hoop seem to have improved since his high school season, too, which makes him a much more significant offensive threat. He just does virtually everything on the basketball court on both ends, so he'll certainly be a valuable piece to a college team in a couple years. I could definitely see scholarship hoops for him.

Coffill has had a really nice spring season with the Mass Huskies, who are playing in the ZGXL. The 6-foot guard is a knockdown shooter from the perimeter and is able to get his shot off in a variety of situations. He also has a knack for quick drives to the rim and wrong-foot finishes at the hoop. He has solid vision, too, and is great at finding cutting gaps in the zone defense when he doesn't have the ball. I would imagine Coffill will be one of the better players on Medford High School's team next season, and he could potentially find a D3 or postgrad prep fit after that.
