After a breakout season at Archbishop Carroll in which he started a handful of games, Kingkiner is leaving Carroll, transferring to Phelps School, and reclassing into the 2027 graduate year. Kingkiner (5 ppg. in 2024-25) is a speedy and high IQ point guard who can distribute and score off the dribble. He does a tremendous job of pushing the rock in the open court and then making the correct decision to score or pass. Kingkiner also excels at directing half-court sets and patiently waiting for the best option to present itself. When needed, Kingkiner can dial up threes too.

The No. 2 ranked prospect in our most recent Class of 2027 rankings is on the move again. This time Newson is departing Academy of the New Church and enrolling at PCL powerhouse Neumann-Goretti. This speedy guard with elusive handles has been a walking bucket on the spring circuit. During April and May, Newson has scored in transition, drained threes and gotten to the hoop off the dribble. College coaches will love the improved court vision and passing skills Newson has displayed over the last five months.

Royal is a long, athletic, and agile prospect who operates as a traditional power forward. Royal possess polished footwork, a 6'11” wingspan and solid frame as well as explosive leaping ability. Thus, Royal is unstoppable once he catches the ball in close. He can convert at the rim via flip looks, lay-ins, and of course powerful dunks. Royal can also crash the offensive glass for second chance points. His ability to score through contact in all these scenarios is impressive. At the other end of the floor, Royal is a beast on the boards and a shot blocking machine. During his sophomore campaign at Carlisle HS, Royal averaged 7 points per contest and scored a season high 14 points against Central Dauphin East. At the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year, Royal will transfer to Perkiomen School.

This 2024-25 1st Team All-Philly Public League selection is making headlines on and off the court of late. Recently Smith picked up an offer from FGCU and took an official visit to La Salle. Now word is that Smith is departing Imhotep Charter and transferring to Roman Catholic. Smith is one of the quickest floor generals in the state and he can score at every level. Currently he is averaging 10 points and 3 assist per game on the EYBL spring circuit. Smith's skill set will fit perfectly alongside Roman Catholic superstar [player_tooltip player_id='1406768' first='Sammy' last='Jackson'].
