After a weekend full of action from the Prep Hoops Circuit Havoc in the Heartland we will take the next several days to debrief and pump out as much content as possible from the event. We will have All-Tournament teams from each age group and plenty of other articles highlighting some of most talented prospects. However, in traditional Prep Hoops fashion, we also like to drill a little deeper. Here are six prospects that really burst onto the scene and showed our scouts some noticeable improvement heading into the summer.

Davis had a good junior season, but playing next to one of the top scorers in the state of Indiana will naturally put you a bit under-the-radar. Now, the Jennings County High School product is getting to shine in his own right with [program_tooltip program_id='2076162' first='Team' last='Blaze Select'] 17u. The 6'0" guard can flat out shoot the basketball and is really proving himself as one of the more talented shot-makers in southern Indiana.

Ranked as the #41 prospect in Kentucky's Class of 2027, Gaither is probably over qualified to be considered a true "stock-riser." However, as a scout from Indiana I don't get to see him play very often and he really stood out over the weekend at the Havoc in the Heartland. The 6'2" guard got the weekend started by going off for 28 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocked shots in a win for the [program_tooltip program_id='2796904' first='Shelby' last='Stars'].

Herzog's size at 6'7"-6'8" obviously catches your attention as soon as he steps on the floor. However, he really appeared more comfortable this weekend as a finisher, rebounder, and interior defender for [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite']. He was confident as a scorer with his right hand when the ball was thrown to him and much stronger on the glass than we had seen before. There are some intriguing tools to monitor heading into the summer and Herzog's senior season at Covington High School.

The [player_tooltip player_id='2860120' first='Midwest' last='Stars'] had a very good weekend going 3-1 at the Havoc in the Heartland while playing some of the best competition in the event. Their ability to shoot the basketball gives them a chance every time out and Simpson was a big part of that success from beyond the arc. We watched him drill a couple of three-point shots on Friday night and then he came up with a few big ones on Sunday as well in their victory over [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''].

There is no denying the physical and athletic tools that his prospect possesses. Stephens is super long, athletic, and carries a good 6'5" frame. He is excellent in transition, can attack closeouts in a straight line, and is active on the offensive glass. There is some real upside as a right hand driver/slasher and versatile defender. Look for Stephens to have a strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] and a breakout senior season at Lawrence Central High School.

We got to see Wall play for the first time this spring on Friday night and his continued development was good to see. The young big man from Guerin Catholic High School moves very well for his size, is bouncy at the rim, and is getting more physical. Wall even knocked down a three-point shot from the trail spot in the game we watched. Definitely an intriguing long-term prospect to keep tabs on in the coming months.
