Jennings County really struggled to get anything going against Delta’s zone defense on Monday night. The Eagles did an especially good job of neutralizing Davis, the Panthers’ leading score. However, the 6’1″ senior guard was still able to score 12 points while connecting on a couple of three-point shots to lead Jennings County. His perimeter shot-making ability, along with what he can do as a playmaker off of the dribble, make him a solid under-the-radar prospect for small colleges to follow.

We seen this Jennings County High School guard put up some big scoring numbers at various Prep Hoops Circuit events throughout the spring. He shot the ball very well at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in late June as well. However, it was his playmaking and passing ability that really stood out while watching Team Blaze 17u on Sunday. Davis was consistently finding open teammates and nearly led his team all of the way back from a sizeable second half deficit. Solid under-the-radar guard with monitoring.

Davis had a good junior season, but playing next to one of the top scorers in the state of Indiana will naturally put you a bit under-the-radar. Now, the Jennings County High School product is getting to shine in his own right with Team Blaze Select 17u. The 6’0″ guard can flat out shoot the basketball and is really proving himself as one of the more talented shot-makers in southern Indiana.

Davis is a lanky guard that I felt made some strong plays on the ball at Havoc in the Heartland. Overall has some good handles and would mix it up in the lane at times. Thought he had some flashy plays around the rim but his main thing is just finishing a little better. Does not get sped up either.

This under-the-radar prospect from Jennings County High School was excellent in a come-from-behind victory for Team Blaze Select 17u as they beat Cave Gym Elite 65-64 on Saturday morning. The long, athletic, 6’1″ guard scored a team-leading 21 points including four late free throws that ultimately brought them within one point and then won the game with about 5.5 seconds remaining.
