Prep Hoops Bash In The Desert: 15U Guards That Impressed

Which ended up earning him the MVP award. On defense, he is an absolute ballhawk and can pick off passes with ease. On offense, he was a sniper from deep and hit a good amount of triples in both games of his that I watched. He knows how to get open off ball and his teammates do a good job of finding him. He also caught my attention with his athleticism and defense. He does a great job of staying in front of his man and applies good ball pressure. Which allows him to get downhill in the blink of an eye. He also has a few deceptive ball-handling maneuvers that he uses to create space, and he dropped a defender before hitting a 3 on Saturday. He is a catch and shoot player that executes when his number is called. He also impressed me with his range, as he hit a shot from well beyond the line right before halftime against Bearstail. Starr is also a quality free throw shooter, and knocked down quite a few this weekend. On offense, he knows how to get to his spot and is an efficient scorer.
