Mikel is a big time athlete that has taken his game to the next level. He was the most impressive player I seen all weekend and looked a step ahead of everyone else. He would hit a different gear and get to the rim with ease and finish with an acrobatic layup. He is a next level athlete and takes advantage of it. He finishes in the lane extremely well and keeps the ball away from defenders. He is at his best on the fast break and even had a nasty poster slam.

A super athletic wing who had a break out year. Mikel put his athletic ability’s on display this year and had several dunks down the lane or on the break. He gets down hill with ease and finishes at the rim really well for a smaller wing. He has solid handle and took on more responsibility playing on ball. He has great defensive instincts and gets his hands in passing lanes. He has good feet that allow him to cut off defenders and deny paint touches. Mikel’s shot has improved and looking to keep on building on that part of his game.

Mikel is a super athletic guard/wing that likes to play at a fast pace. He is at his best in the open floor and getting downhill. He has great speed and a strong frame that allows him to get to the bucket at will. His outside shot has improved over the summer, and the better his outside shot gets, the more dangerous he will become. He plays good 1 on 1 defense and likes to sneak into passing lanes for big time steals that leads to dunks. Mikel fits right in to the fast pace Maryvale Panthers and will have a big impact on both ends.

has some burst to him. Which allows him to get downhill in the blink of an eye. He also has a few deceptive ball-handling maneuvers that he uses to create space, and he dropped a defender before hitting a 3 on Saturday. On the other end of the court, Montgomery hustles and doesn’t give up anything easy.
