The 2025 Phenom Memorial Day Classic took place this weekend in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Prep Hoops SC was in attendance for Day One on Saturday. This has been a must-stop for me the last two years and symbolizes the final event of the Spring Season for many teams. Take a look at some of the top 2027s from Saturday at the Phenom Memorial Day Classic:

Leading off this list of standouts from Saturday in Rock Hill is [player_tooltip player_id='1489156' first='Rickey' last='Littlejohn III']. He has been running with Puma's Team Ish this Spring and this was my first opportunity to watch them this season. Littlejohn had a strong 16-point, 4-assist performance in the loss to the Charlotte Aces. Rickey had the ball in his hands a lot, particularly down the stretch in regulation where he came up with multiple clutch buckets. Littlejohn's game is built around his ability to penetrate a defense. He navigates traffic well, is fast with the ball, is a creative passer, and is a determined finisher.

Deron is the first of two standouts from the 16U Blue Bracket Champs, [program_tooltip program_id='2412982' first='Upward' last='Stars Pee Dee']. Ross was a key player for them in the first-round win over Wildcats Elite, going for 14 points. Of those 14 points, 6 of them came on a pair of threes, displaying his outside shooting ability. However, Deron also looked to drive the ball and was aggressive for most of the game. He will work through contact in attack, doing just that for a go-ahead and-1 in the final minute of Saturday's first win.

Haunert is another Pee Dee prospect with a nice showing in the opening round. Although Will knocked down a corner three early on which provided spacing for the rest of the game, he was at his best using his athleticism around the rim. Haunert was active throughout the game, running the floor in transition and working on the offensive glass, taking up great positioning in both departments. Will tallied 10 points and 8 rebounds in the win.

Avery caught fire in the second half of the matchup with Team Crews, playing up in the 17U Division. He started the game strong with a poster dunk and a turnaround jumper in the middle of a zone. Later, he converted on a couple of floaters, got to the rim frequently, and knocked down three threes. But it wasn't just on the offensive end where Avery stood out. He showed flashes of tremendous on-ball defense making life very difficult for his opponents. Georgiana-Richardson racked up 23 points, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in the win.

Rounding out my list of 2027s from the Phenom Memorial Day Classic is [player_tooltip player_id='2149144' first='Terrion' last='Mack']. Mack is another Star who had a big-time showing for Upward Columbia playing up to 17U. He is a true two-way guard - a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. Terrion moves his feet well, has active hands, and can score inside and out, but the attribute that stood out most was his tenacity on the glass. He is a determined rebounder and had several crucial putbacks late in game one. Mack put up 17 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals in the win.
