Inside the Top 150, several prospects made their way onto the board after putting together strong high school seasons, showing steady development, and proving they belong in the conversation moving forward. This group brings a mix of production, upside, and long-term intrigue as the class continues to take shape across the state.

The highest-ranked new addition to the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class of 2027 Rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='3578711' first='Joshuan' last='Grant']. Grant is a well-rounded Point Guard, combining positional size and a solid two-way feel to go for 8.4 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 3.9 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game in his junior year.

There aren't many players in the 2027 class who had a bigger breakout year than this St. James guard. He was named All-State and 5A Region 6 Player of the Year, helping lead the Sharks to a 20-win season and a deep playoff run. Elijah is an elite scorer, capable of hitting tough shots off the bounce against even the best of defenders.

Kingston is another new addition who earned his spot with a big scoring day in front of me this season. He put up 20 points on 6 3PM against Ben Lippen at the Lexington Roundball Classic, displaying how elite a shot-maker he can be. Hightower finished the season with 62 made threes on 160 attempts (39%) and had 11 games with 3+ threes.

The highest-ranked new big man is [player_tooltip player_id='3244799' first='Logan' last='Jacobs']. He really showed some flashes throughout the season, particularly as a shot blocker. Jacobs averaged 1.6 blocks per game in 2025-26, earning a selection to the All-Region team. He is still pretty raw physically and offensively, but he is long and athletic enough to be a lob threat at the next level.

Waccamaw's Reisdorff is another big man who makes his debut in the Spring Rankings Update. Like Logan, Tiki has good instincts as a rim protector. He blocked 2.3 shots per game this year, but one of the things that is intriguing with him is his shooting. Reisdorff doesn't have a ton of volume from the outside, but he is a developing shooter who could be a real stretch threat by the time his career is finished.

Hoover was one of the real breakout two-guards in the Upstate this season. He put up over 15 points per game with 59 makes from three. Listed at 6'3", Chase has some solid positional length to pull the trigger over opposing guards, along with decent athleticism to make plays off the dribble. Hoover had seven games with 20 or more points and will likely be the #1 option for the Tigers in 2026-27.

Another shooter to know in the 2027 class is William. He had a key role for the Warriors this season, often called open when they most needed spacing around their elite guards. One of the games where Street caught my eye this season was the Prep Hoops SC Showcase, where he stepped up with some outside shot-making to get a win.

After going for 15.4 points per game, 2.3 assists per game, and 2.3 steals per game on a region-championship winning team, [player_tooltip player_id='3230815' first='Dee' last='Davis'] makes the new Prep Hoops SC Rankings. Davis can play both the one and the two, and he is excellent at getting to the paint at high speeds.

Oshon had several dominant games this season, including a 29-point, 9-rebound game when I saw him for the first time helping earn him a spot in this list. Browman has a big, bruising frame that is capable of wearing down any matchup, but he also has soft hands and touch around the rim.

David is the second Horse Creek Academy Stallion to be added to the rankings this month. He too put up some big numbers in 2025-26, going for 13.1 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Kearse had 11 double-doubles this year, with 34 points and 20 rebounds being his season highs.

One of the best juniors in SCISA this season was Scott. With a team high 15.5 points per game, Malachi helped lead Cathedral Academy to over 30 wins and another 2A State Championship. He is a dominant downhill driver who lives for points in the paint, so once his outside shooting catches up, the colleges will come calling.

Rounding out the group of New Additions Inside the Top 150 of the Prep Hoops SC 2027 Rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='2951681' first='Tradyn' last='Phillips']. Phillips has slowly come along over the past calendar year, making his name known with strong showings in High School and AAU ball. He was a versatile piece in the State-Championship run for South Point High School, and could develop into a nice two-way guard down the line.
