It didn't take long for parents of the opposing team to start calling out "shooter" every time Griffin touched the ball. Coming off a breakout season at Union Grove, the lefty guard has the green light to let it fly from beyond the arc, and can put points on the board in a hurry if you give him too much space. In the first six minutes of the game, Griffin had already scored 11 points with three 3's. He keeps the ball moving out on the perimeter, and then recognizes when he's able to catch in a pocket of space, quickly getting off a shot before the defense can react. Putting together a nice weekend running with Wolverines AAU.

Elijah put together a huge game for [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075693' first='MN' last='Crossfire']. Right out of the gate he was finding ways to get two feet in the paint, and from there was able to find his bigs stepping in from the dunker spot for good looks. As the game went on, Elijah was making plays with his ball pressure defensively, and showcased some crafty finishing ability at the rim. In a tie game with seconds remaining, Elijah drove hard, elevated into a defender's body, and kept his chin at the rim as he converted on a game winning lay-up.

I wasn't aware of Elijah coming into this weekend, but he caught my eye in Saturday's game against [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro']. At 6'2 he has a long and lanky frame out on the wing, and a jumper that can make defenders pay for leaving him in space. He did a nice job of moving without the ball, and just finding pockets of space to catch and shoot from. Elijah hit a number of big shots throughout the game that had his team in it until the very end.

Sticking with the trend of shooters on this list, Holden was lighting it up for [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy'] yesterday. In a tight game against E2E, Holden took over in the second half to stretch things out to a double-figure lead for his team. He could let it fly from three off the catch, but also did a nice job of mixing in shot-fakes that allowed him to then blow by the closing-out defender. So dangerous with his one dribble pull-up from mid-range. Defensively he slid his feet to draw a charge, and also blocked a shot in the first half.

Charlie is a Swiss Army Knife type of player for [program_tooltip program_id='2075486' first='Gallo' last='Sports Center']. At 6'3 he already has some size out on the wing, and was able to do just about anything his team needed. He can push the tempo in transition, attack off the dribble from the wing, and provide an extra rebounding presence inside with his size. Even when dribbling through traffic he never looked uncomfortable, and always had his eyes scanning the floor looking for an open teammate. Defensively he has the mobility at 6'3 to defend a handful of different positions.

Elliot was putting on a show in the second half for Minnesota Takeoff. The Rochester Mayo guard was making defenders look like cones as he effortlessly dribbled through and past multiple guys at a time. Elliot had a lot of success getting into the lane and playing off two feet, allowing him to finish on balance, or pivot and kick it back out if a shot wasn't there. In a game that got sloppy at times due to the high pressure defense LVL was playing, Takeoff could get the ball to Elliot and trust him to go and make a play.

Michael was putting on a show in a Saturday morning win for Team Rose. In a game in which his team put up a ridiculous 100 points in just 30 minutes, Michael had his guys moving at a fast tempo. The 5'10 guard is lightning quick, and can turn a defensive rebound into a good look offensively in just seconds. Out on the perimeter he was creating separation with ease, and knocked down a number of pull-up jumpers in a row that pretty much put the game out of reach in just the first half. Very entertaining guard who plays with a lot of confidence on the ball.
