Below are five prospects of note at the Center position in New England's Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571891' first='Herman' last='Carl Kone']

A 6'10" big man from CATS Academy, Carl Kone has an intriguing long term ceiling with his combination of size and mobility. A good athlete, he does a great job rim running in transition, where he can finish above the rim when he gets his hands on the ball. He continues to improve as a finisher with his back to the basket and shows the ability to knock down threes from the trailer position. Defensively, he takes up a lot of space in the paint and does a nice job of moving his feet when switched in ball screen action. With his length, he is a high level rim protector that can block and alter shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571912' first='Jack' last='Ronndahl']

A 6'8" big man from the Taft School, Ronndahl has a big frame and a good feel for the game on the offensive end of the floor. He knows how to finish in the paint, showing good touch around the rim and a variety of post moves with counters. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, particularly as a passer from the elbows and top of the key. His ability to make plays off the bounce continues to improve, as does his mobility. Defensively, he's a worker on the glass and in the paint as a post defender, where he does a nice job of walling up and defending without fouling.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560891' first='Chase' last='Dowling']

A 6'5" big man from Pentucket, Dowling made his mark quickly in the MIAA as a physical prospect in the paint. He does a nice job offensively around the rim, establishing good post position, keeping defenders on his back, and finishing through contact with a variety of moves. He has good hands on entry passes and plays with a high motor on the offensive glass. As a passer, he shows good vision and the ability to find teammates out of double teams in the post. Defensively, he does a really nice job of walling up around the rim, where he uses his length to block shots as an on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571894' first='Dylan' last='Lyons']

A 6'6" big man from Bourne, Lyons is a versatile post prospect that has a budding inside-out game as a scorer. He's long and lean and does a nice job of stretching the floor as a shooter. He can play as a roller or pop guy out of screens and when he gets his feet set, can make shots from behind the arc. On top of the shooting, he shows a good understanding of when to attack closeouts and can finish with athleticism at the rim. As a defender, he's both mobile and instinctive, showing the ability to guard multiple positions and also to make plays in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571922' first='Dylan' last='Seymour']

A 6'5" big man from Greens Farms Academy, Seymour is another prospect that can impact a game both in the paint and from the perimeter on the offensive end of the floor. A high motor defender and rebounder, he does a nice job of blocking shots from the help side and shows a willingness to be physical as a rebounder, with strong fundamentals on his box outs. Offensively, he continues to develop his perimeter shooting ability, while also showing a nice feel for the game as a playmaker out of the high post and trailer spots. He scores efficiently at the rim with a combination of physicality and touch.
