On Saturday, I attended the New England Jam Fest at Dana Barros Basketball Club in Stoughton, MA. The event was filled with college prospects (and coaches) from all levels, and there were some really awesome matches. Over the next couple days, I'll be breaking down some of the standout players I saw. As always, it's impossible to catch every game and every player, and I try to strike a balance between seeing as many players as possible while also getting to know their games enough to accurately scout them.

Here are some intriguing long-term prospects.

Baum is a super intriguing prospect who really surprised me with his combination of athleticism, size and length. The 6-foot-8 forward is able to play on the perimeter as a result of his quickness and agility, but he likes to glide to the rim for finishes when larger defenders play up on him; he had a bunch of really nice lefty takes to the rim where he extended to finish far out ahead of the defense. Baum's also an excellent passer for his size (can throw one-handed passes effectively with both hands), which allows him to act as an offensive hub. Definite D3 player with scholarship potential if he can improve his shot and strength.

Osinski looks like a college player right now, and he's only a sophomore in high school. The 6-foot-5 wing is strong-bodied and able to bully his way to the rim against other wings, but he's also bouncy enough to get above the rim in transition. Oh, and he can shoot it from three, too. He has a well-rounded game and can do basically everything on the basketball court. I'll be fascinated to see what Osinski adds to his game next, because the future is very bright. Scholarship potential up the wazoo and I'll be curious to see if he sticks at Christian Brothers Academy.

Holness is only a sophomore but was playing up in the varsity division for the Boston Warriors and more than holding his own. The 6-foot-4 lefty guard is super long and was causing havoc for opposing guards on the defensive end with his quick, active hands. Offensively, he can run the show as a point guard and uses his size to see over the defense for easy passes to teammates. He still needs to get stronger and more able to fend off pesty defenders, but I could see him really blossoming over the next couple years, especially because he looks like he has a lot of growing and getting stronger to do.

Nwosu is a remarkably intriguing prospect. The 6-foot-8 forward has absurdly long arms and moves up and down the floor like a deer. He catches lobs above the rim and protects the hoop defensively, but he also has some really solid handles and shooting touch for his size. He's still learning how to be more comfortable with his dribble, but another year of high school will be really good for him. Curious whether any scholarship schools will pull the trigger on him as a result of his size and skillset, but regardless he should play college ball somewhere.

Bol is one of the most intriguing long term basketball prospects I've seen in my couple years covering high school hoops. The 7-footer looks about 150 pounds soaking wet but glides up and down the floor like a gazelle and has some guard skills that are beyond impressive; he handles is so well for his size and has a super nice-looking shot. Defensively, he's an excellent rim protector who really understands weak side rotations and timing for blocks. How much weight Bol puts on in the next couple years could determine the level of scholarship basketball that he plays, but I would be very focused on his development if I were a college or NBA scout.
