MADE Hoops DMV Live: Weekend Standouts

He was a scoring machine from all three levels on the floor. The different ways in which JJ was able to generate points was impressive to see. He was creating separation off the dribble into pullups, driving hard to the basket, and knocking down jumpers with consistency. He posted a couple of double-double games in big wins for Team Vito Official. Jaylin cleaned the glass all game long on both sides of the court. He earned countless second chance opportunities and scored off numerous rebounds and steals in the halfcourt. Ouattara was able to ease his way into the lane with speed and precision and finish many different ways. He ran the combo guard position pretty well, knowing when to give the ball off and when to attack. Bryce got past his defender with a nice change in speed although he was one of the taller players on the court. He has a nice handle that allows him to look over the defense and find spots to exploit. He was aggressive in looking for his shot and only needed an inch of space to get it off. The team set him screens and it was up to him to create the separation for the shot, which I think he did very well. Saunders defended hard and came away with a few steals in my time watching. I liked the flow in his game as he reacted to different defensive looks on-the-fly. He slithered past the defense with speed and control and finished well around the rim. Brian provided high energy and made some big plays. Drew a matchup with fellow Maryland wing [player_tooltip player_id='1782680' first='JJ' last='Addison'] and played very well, earning a win in the end. McMahon guarded well and was effective on the glass rebounding the ball. He seemed very confident in his game and it translated to solid overall play over the weekend. His highest scoring game came early on as he dropped in a few three-pointers along with big-time layups inside. The physicality and energy Justin and his team played each game with was inspiring, hence their dominant MADE Hoops Circuit run.
