-Ouattara closed the game in style as he scored in bunches to fight off a late run from the opposing team down the stretch. A smooth operator in side ball screen situations, Ouattara’s ability to accelerate and get downhill made him really difficult to stay in front of without fouling. I also came away impressed with his ability to finish through contact whether it was over a guard or an opposing wing/forward at the rim as he closed the game out well down the stretch with key FTs and buckets.

Ouattara gets a boost after his productive season for a Northwest team who was able to reel in a couple of impressive wins this season. The lead guard averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season. He poured in a career-high 30 points against the county champs in Blake, who will be playing for the Class 4A title next week. The shifty guard does a nice job of establishing driving lanes with his quick first step and creates space in isolations where to get into his shot with balance. Ouattara went from No. 186 to No. 179 in the final update.

Jaylin is coming off a loud 30-point showing against division leader Blake, and it only adds to the case that he’s one of the most complete two-way guards in Montgomery County right now. His jumper has taken a step forward since the offseason, which makes him even more dangerous as an attacking guard. Jaylin plays with pace and control as a lead guard, showing he can run the offense while still hunting scoring opportunities. His aggressiveness in the open floor helps him to create high-quality looks on-the-fly. On defense, he holds his own nightly and takes pride in pressuring the ball. He plays passing lanes well, rebounds at a high level for a guard, and has the ability to defend full court and force turnovers. A true “do-it-all” guard who affects winning on both ends.

Jaylin had a complete performance in all his outings with Vito Official. One thing I valued from watching Jaylin this weekend was that he always made up for his mistakes with his defense. Stayed a pest in the backcourt, racking up at least 3 steals in most his games. Shot the ball with extreme confidence and sensed the need for his short-handed team to look to him for scoring. Jaylin was always the fastest on the break, finishing a multitude of transition opportunities with an open layup. He showed ability to get by any defender and finish strong through contact and/or traffic. I feel Jaylin continues to prove he’s one of MoCo’s top seniors.

I feel Jaylin is one of the best defending guards on the public school scene. He covers the length of the floor and maintain his energy through the entire game. Jaylin finds the best opposing guard and makes it his mission to slow his game down. Great footwork defensively that allows him to keep in front of the ball and jump passing lanes. Reads the game well from both sides of the ball.

Jaylin caught my eye with Vito Official AAU this summer. He will be a major factor for Northwest at the start of the season. For now, Jaylin continues to make waves on the AAU circuit. Scores the ball very efficiently, comfortable driving right or left. Finishes strong at the basket and doesn’t mind the contact. Jaylin defends the ball at a high level and is relentless with his ball pressure. Collects steals and finishes on the other end consistently through his games. Jaylin can also shoot the ball with space, but his greatest strength is attacking the basket.

Jaylin Ouattara was another Northwest guard who was great for them. Jaylin is a great shot-creator and a crafty finisher at the rim. He is quick, and he uses his body well to create space for himself. Jaylin had a handful of tough and aggressive takes and was good from start to finish. Jaylin had 20 points and 9 rebounds.

was impressive for Northwest, even in a loss. Jaylin has good speed and is a crafty finisher. Jaylin is excellent going to his left, and he has a nice pull-up jump shot. Jaylin has a good three-point shot, even though they didn’t fall today. Jaylin had 16 points.

-A guard that will definitely make an appearance in our 2026 rankings after a standout performance for Team Vito. Ouattara read ball screens well to either come off explosively to get downhill or sit behind a screen to shoot a 3 when a defender cheated it and went under. Had 3 pull up 3s hit nothing but net from the top of the key to preserve the win for his team.
