With the first NCAA Live period coming up this weekend, players will have their first chance to play in front of division one college coaches, as well as coaches that aren't local to their area who will be traveling to major tournament sites.

With that being said, we're going to spend the week previewing some of the VA and DMV prospects at these events that we believe college coaches should take the time to evaluate, and could see their stock rise.

Here's a look at part one of some of the prospects who will be playing in the MADE Hoops East Live in Baltimore, MD this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2510345' first='Justin' last='Jones'] | 6'3” WG | Team Push MHC 17U

Jones has been one of the top guards in the 757 for the past three years, already eclipsing the 1,000 point mark at Atlantic Shores, and he heads into the first live period of the summer already holding two division one offers. The 6'3” two guard is an old school bucket getter who thrives in the midrange with tough pull-ups and floaters, he's strong enough to get downhill and finish through traffic, he works well off the ball and can knock down shots off the catch, and he's a high IQ player on both ends that consistently makes winning plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788507' first='Marcquell' last='Freeman'] | 5'10” PG | Team Push MHC 17U

While Freeman may not be the biggest guy on the court, he will no doubt be one of the most players in attendance as the 5'10” guard is a flashy playmaker who is very tough to contain off the bounce and thrives in the open floor with his creativity. He is super shifty with a tight handle and the ability to change speeds with a tight and quick handle, he has a great first step to blow by defenders, he can make tough shots from all three levels and he makes everyone better with his vision and playmaking ability.

Sean Dunn | 6'0” PG | Team Push MHC 17U

Dunn is one of the few non-local kids on this Team Push group, as the 6'0” point guard hails from Providence Day in North Carolina, and he's one of the most underrated prospects in the Hoop State and ready to breakout in Baltimore. He has a very strong frame that allows him to take bumps and play through contact when handling pressure, he's a crafty ball handler and playmaker who can create for others off the bounce, he's a fundamentally sound scorer from all three levels and he's a sneaky athlete who can put it on your head if you underestimate him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2612817' first='Colin' last='Byrd'] | 6'4” WG | TTO National MHC 17U

Byrd is set to turn a lot of heads this summer after a big junior season with Tuscarora, and so far in the MADE Hoops Events he has been unbelievably productive and looks every bit like a division one “3 and d” wing. At 6'4” with a strong frame he has the strength and size to be able to translate to the next level relatively easily from a physical standpoint, he is a dead eye shooter off the catch with in the gym range, he can get downhill and use his size to draw contact and finish through it, and he plays with a great motor and brings a lot of energy on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2605296' first='Messiah' last='Dixon'] | 5'10” PG | TTO National MHC 17U

Dixon is another smaller guard who may not pass the look test, but he's as impactful as any guard you'll come across with his ability to set the tone on both ends of the floor and relentless put pressure on ball handlers and on the defense when he's handling the ball. He has incredibly quick hands and the ability to move his feet and hound ball handlers 94 feet, he has blazing speed in transition and a quick first step in the half court, he gets in the paint and makes plays for others, and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782680' first='JJ' last='Addison'] | 6'6” WF | MD Movement MHC 17U

Addison has been one of the top players in Maryland public schools over the past two seasons, and he should be one of the top prospects that coaches watch on the MHC this summer. At 6'6” with long arms and natural athleticism he's able to play above the rim relatively easily, he can stretch the floor and knock it down from deep consistently, he gets to spots in the midrange and can rise up over defenders and make tough pull-ups, and he has a lot of upside on the defensive end too.
