April 25-27 I attended the EYBL first stop at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. There were many talented teams and players being watched by almost every scouting service, NBA scouts and college coaches. The talent is fierce in the EYBL and as the old saying goes, you gain exposure or get exposed.

Here were some of the AZ Forward Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1555179' first='Darius' last='Wabbington'] Sunnyslope/AZ (AZ Unity 16 EYBL)

Wabbington looked really sharp this weekend. He showed it all with threes, fall aways in the post, he takes contact well and has a better handle then you would assume for his size and position. He also has advanced post footwork and he is a strong two-handed rebounder and great outlet passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2198867' first='Lucas' last='Toukam'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity)

A long and rangy power forward covers a lot of ground on defense. He defends multiple positions and can score with mid-range jumpers, catch threes and he has super quick bounce to power up and dunk it in a blink of an eye.

[player_tooltip player_id='2564039' first='Aliou' last='Dioum'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity)

A long top of the food chain leaper. He will score with rip thru's with his longer strides and now is starting to hit the three off the catch. He still makes his money as a rebounder and a top-end shot blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id='2039513' first='DJ' last='Spencer'] Desert Vista (Vegas Elite 16)

A tough undersized forward can play both positions up front. He shoots it easily from mid-range and he is a quick second and third jumper to get on the glass. He scores with double moves with his handle and can counter move to a bucket. He rebounds well in his area and will block a shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612509' first='Jalen' last='White'] Bella Vista Prep (Vegas Elite 16)

A hyper athletic taller wing forward makes it look easy in stretches. He had his own personal block party with challenging and altering 3-4 shots per game. He can shoot it from mid to the three plus will take two steps and throw it down.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580233' first='Paul' last='Osaruyi'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 17 EYBL)

One of the top pure athletes in the West Coast is a high level dunker and with elite size and length. He has a plus motor to rebound the ball at a high rate and many times it leads to high level thunderous dunks. He scores also with fall away in the post, rip thrus to the basket and step out and shoot the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581755' first='Al'Tariq' last='Reevey'] Hillcrest Prep (Team Final EYBL)

A long and lean post player will score with and-1's thru contact when he is spoon fed but has good hands in tight spaces to make a catch and go up to score. He will also score with drop steps into a dunk. He is a strong two-handed rebounder who is a quick second jumper. He has long arms in the passing lanes and has a decent touch on his FT's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] Millennium (AZ Unity)

A two-way wing is a tough on-ball defender to collect steals and rebounds the ball well. He will take a ball off the glass and push and find a teammate in stride. Without [player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'], he played a lot on the ball. He scores with jab step threes, gets downhill and will spin off of the defenders and dunk it easily on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490241' first='Elijah' last='Summers-Livingston'] AZ Compass Prep (Vegas Elite)

A high motored, hyper athletic power forward who makes his money finishing way above the rim and defending multiple positions. He moves well from end to end and can defend in space. You will see him cover a guard on the perimeter and then move quickly to the bigger post players and hold his own anywhere on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574808' first='Ruach' last='Gony'] Bella Vista Prep (AZ Unity 15)

A long power forward is just scratching the surface. He defends in space at a high level and he is unique to make passes and plays the game like a point forward type. He will dunk it and shoot it from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956218' first='Marcus' last='Isaac'] Mountain Pointe (AZ Unity 15) (Pictured)

One of the tallest and longest power forwards in the class runs the floor like a guard and he is arguably the top shot blocker in his class from the state. He scores it with mid-range pull-ups, dunks and rebounds at a high level. He may not be done growing and his best basketball is ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2249943' first='Lleyton' last='Leonard'] Basha (AZ Unity 15)

A long wing forward is a switchable defender on guards and bigger forwards. He has a top motor to rebound out of his area and seems to live on the glass. He scores with threes off the catch, alley-oops, transition dunks and he will rip thru after he gets a step on his defender.
