Down in Baltimore, the premier grassroots teams from the DMV to the Philly area met at the Park School for two days of great games. Here are the wings and forwards that caught my eye:

[player_tooltip player_id='2614836' first='Victor' last='Aborowa'] | 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2450598' first='WeR1' last=''] UAA 16U

Despite falling to [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] 3SSB, Aborowa impressed as an attacking wing. With long strides he got into the lane and got off floaters. Aborowa showed versatility as a shooter too. He knocked down a pull-up, spotted up for a second three, and hit a third while popping off of a ball-screen. He led his team with 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2853708' first='Jeremiah' last='Adedeji'] | 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA 15U

Adedeji was a subtle catalyst for the team's offense against District Basketball Club. With offensive rebounds, he created second-chance opportunities for himself and others. Adedeji also created scoring opportunities for himself by running the floor on fastbreaks and cutting off-ball. Equally important, he helped protect the rim. The 6'7 forward contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397565' first='Daniel' last='Gilhool'] | 2027 [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA 15U

The 6'10 forward was a problem for District Basketball Club on offense and defense. He was effective inside, flashing to the dunker spot and posting up. His feel in space and size always made him available for drop-off passes. And when opposing players tried him on the other end, he contested their shots. Gilhool led with 16 points and 8 rebounds, plus 2 blocks.

Caj Jones | 2028 [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] 3SSB 15U

With timely shotmaking and defense, Jones helped his squad get the win over DC Premier UAA. He used his upper body strength to wall off drivers and to pull down boards. A complimentary player, Jones stayed aggressive within the flow of the offense and found openings for himself with a variety of jumpers, including a pair of threes. He starred in his role for 10 points and 5 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2364701' first='Mikey' last='Matthews'] | 2028 [program_tooltip program_id='2450598' first='WeR1' last=''] UAA 15U

Matthews made his presence felt everywhere on the floor against Washington Warriors 3SSB. After cashing in a catch-and-shoot three, he got active in the paint, altering shots, deflecting passes, and cleaning the glass, then pushing the pace in transition. His displays of skill carried over to the halfcourt as well, where he attacked the rim from the elbow and short corner. Matthews totalled 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
