In the first contest that will take place at 10am on Saturday, May 31, the Three Rivers League takes on the 5A All-Stars. Here's a look at that matchup.

The TRL, coached by Tualatin head coach Bubba Lemon, will bring a talented roster to the tournament. They will be led by the Player of the Year in Oregon City's [player_tooltip player_id='1450157' first='Gylan' last='Payne'], who has inked with OIT. The 6-foot-5 do-it-all talent should contribute everywhere on the court. Another versatile player that will be key is West Linn's [player_tooltip player_id='1450156' first='Gavin' last='Gross']. The 6-foot-4 swingman can play multiple positions and has signed with Carroll College in Montana. The point guard spot will be manned by two first team all-league guards in West Linn's [player_tooltip player_id='1611687' first='Jalen' last='Snook'] and Tigard's [player_tooltip player_id='1587916' first='Colt' last='Ness']. Both are currently unsigned. There is plenty of outside shooting with Tualatin's [player_tooltip player_id='2348784' first='Diogo' last='Alves'], who has committed to D-I Radford, Tigard's [player_tooltip player_id='1315378' first='Corbin' last='Cichy'], who is headed to Porterville JC in California, and Oregon City's Ben Schneider, who will be playing football at Whitworth. Tualatin big man [player_tooltip player_id='2342862' first='Javier' last='Diaz'], headed to Macalester, will man the paint and Lake Oswego's [player_tooltip player_id='1953758' first='Carter' last='Dietz'] will provide depth both inside and out.

The 5A all-stars, headed by LaSalle head coach Sean Kelly, has the talent and depth to compete with anyone in the field. There's some real strength in the backcourt with a trio of college signees leading the way with Wilsonville's [player_tooltip player_id='1368276' first='Cole' last='Hammack'], the 5A Player of the Year headed to Eastern Oregon, Woodburn's [player_tooltip player_id='1368274' first='Cruz' last='Veliz'], who's going to Western Washington, and Putnam's [player_tooltip player_id='2204993' first='Jaxson' last='Spafford'], who's signed with Portland CC. Ashland senior and Linn-Benton signee [player_tooltip player_id='2348779' first='JoJo' last='Harrower'] adds depth at multiple positions, as does Wilsonville senior and Eastern Oregon signee [player_tooltip player_id='1604668' first='Drake' last='Devin']. Ridgeview wing/forward [player_tooltip player_id='1621303' first='Brady' last='Muilenburg'] - who remains unsigned - is a bucket getter, and up front the quintet of LaSalle's [player_tooltip player_id='1450155' first='Aidan' last='Kelly'] (signed with Spokane CC), Centennial's [player_tooltip player_id='2244057' first='Naoli' last='Besha'] (Pacific-Ore.), Wilsonville's [player_tooltip player_id='2348760' first='Emmett' last='Fee'] (football at Western Oregon), Summit's [player_tooltip player_id='2458212' first='Ryder' last='Grieb'], and Westside Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='1315370' first='Kyler' last='Crites'] give the team plenty of size.
