<p>Kohnen helped Slinger to a 24-3 record by averaging 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He earned second-team all-league honors while playing a key role in the Owls' run to the North Shore Conference title. Kohnen is a versatile wing with length and the ability to score at all three levels.<br><br>Over at Mauston, the Golden Eagles have a prized 2028 performer in second-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2369883' first='Jase' last='Navis'] (6-5), a small forward with a nose for the basket. The first-team all-South Central selection averaged 21.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He is believed to be the lone class of 2028 prospect who finished with a double/double average.<br><br>The third-ranked player is coming off a WIAA state championship. Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2613959' first='Kinston' last='Knueppel'] (6-5) saw action off the bench as akey reserve for Wisconsin Lutheran, which went 28-2 and won the Division 1 state title. A physically strong and instinctual player, Knueppel averaged 5.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists for the Vikings.<br><br>Fourth-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2504214' first='Jaquan' last='Turner'] (6-4) of Oak Creek is a teammate of Kohnen and Knueppel with the [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] 15U squad. Turner earned honorable mention all-league honors in the Southeast Conference after averaging 8.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the Knights.<br><br>The next two players in the Prep Hoops Player Rankings compete on the same club team as No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id='2509457' first='Jordan' last='Evans'] (6-2) and No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id='2614854' first='Tylen' last='Kingsby'] (6-6) are members of the [program_tooltip program_id='2076433' first='Kevon' last='Looney Power 5'] program. <br><br>Evans is one of the more advanced lead guards in the class and is coming off a strong freshman season at Living Word Lutheran. He averaged 15.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists while picking up second-team all-Midwest Classic Conference laurels. <br><br>Like Knueppel, Kingsby earned playing time as a reserve on a loaded state-championship squad as he averaged 3.8 points and 1.4 rebounds at Division 3 state champion Milwaukee Academy of Science.<br><br>Navis, No. 7-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2369866' first='AJ' last='Gnewuch'] (6-3) of Madison Edgewood and No. 10-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2618890' first='Terrin' last='Jackson'] (5-10) of Verona all play for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076023' first='Wisconsin' last='Academy'] 15U squad. <br><br>Gnewuch has very good size and strength, and he has impressive skills as well. He averaged 10.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.7 rebounds as a freshman at Edgewood and received honorable mention all-Badger Small recognition. <br><br>Jackson played in 10 games for the very strong varsity squad at Verona as a freshman and the talented point guard averaged 6.9 points in those outings for the Wildcats.<br><br>No. 8-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2542599' first='Will' last='Kowske'] (6-3) of New Berlin Eisenhower worked his way into a lot of varsity playing time for the Lions. The agile and long wing prospect averaged 7.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists and established himself as one of the better class of 2028 prospects in the highly competitive Woodland West Conference. </p>

<p>Appleton North shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2447768' first='Matt' last='Rosplochowski'] (6-0) plays bigger than his height because of his physical strength and supreme confidence. He fit in right away for the Lightning and excelled while playing against top-flight competition in the Fox Valley Association. Rosplowhowski averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists on a talented and balanced team at Appleton North.<br><br>The 2028 Player Rankings remain a work in progress as kids continue to grow, improve and become discovered. Many who did not play at the varsity level, in all likelihood, will find their way into these rankings over the next couple of seasons. <br><br>At the same time, we have attempted to include a long list of players in the top 58 and Watch List for 2028.
