I saw Thompkins early in the event on Friday evening. While he was shooting, scoring and making plays - it was his basketball IQ that stood out the most. He just had a feel for the action and seemed to always know where the ball needed to go for his team to get a good look.

Eklund just gets it. He could probably have a points and assists double-double every game. He's that talented. But watching him play this weekend, Eklund was simply unwilling to take a bad shot or force action for his own numbers. He was steady and efficient and willing to pass to teammates with a hot hand or a good look.

I love watching [player_tooltip player_id='1899423' first='Trey' last='Richardson'] play. He's an unselfish guard that can play at whatever speed his team needs. Richardson can get his when he needs to or it's available, but he definitely looks to make plays for his teammates and to feed their success.

Once again his reputation as an elite scorer and creator has defenses keying on him and grabbing and holding for dear life when he drives. But Slack plays through it with minimal turnovers. Despite the defensive attention he had a couple games where he topped 20 points.

I always love watching McGarry play. He's so patient offensively and let's himself react to the game play. As the pace picked up in a game this weekend, he sped up and went from looking for perimeter opportunities to attacking downhill and looking to score at the rim. It served him well as he scored multiple time near the basket.

Goins was fun to watch at Rumble In The Rapids. He just knows how to play the point guard position. Goins plays quick, controls pace and gets the ball to it's spots. He was probably one of the best decision makers with the ball in the gym this weekend.
