Ida Baker’s Mr. Everything, Slack, has been a huge addition for the Bulldogs this season. He is nearly averaging a double-double with 24.1 ppg and 9.2 rpg. He brings great size and length from the guard position, and is an all-around tremendous 2-way player. He dropped a season-high 47 points in a win over Cypress Lake earlier this year, and has reached double figures in every game so far this season.

This senior from Southwest Florida is a relative unknown around the state but is making waves with his production this season. Slack fills a stat sheet and is averaging nearly 24 points per contest and grabbing over 9 rebounds per game. The 6’4 wing is a high level athlete and has good strength that should help him translate to the college level.

I only have this kid here as an under the radar prospect because he is new to the area, but he can flat out play. Slack is a tremendous 2-way player, who can score on all 3-levels. Defensively, his size and length allow him to guard any position on the floor, and also be a real asset on the boards. He can score down low or knock down the contested jumper with his high release and smooth stroke. Look for Slack to turn some heads, in this his first year in SWFL.

Slack is about to take Florida by storm, but he played on a Michigan based team and played a midwest schedule, so we’re going to put him here. Slack was a primary ball handler, initiated the offense, and still averaged over 25ppg. This included a 43 point explosion in St. Louis. Quite frankly, he should be seeing offers from Michigan and midwest teams.

Slack has been 1 of the top grassroots players for 2 straight summers now. He averaged over 25 points per game once again, this year serving as more of a point guard that served as the primary ball handler and initiator of the offense. Slack got the ball to it’s spots than worked hard off the ball to get it back. He shot very well at the event, drawing a face guard in their final game.

Slack continued his terrific grassroots season at Brawl For The Ball. Even showing up sick, he wanted heavy minutes and performed when he got them. If you really watched him this weekend, it was probably his best game as a TRUE POINT GUARD. Slack was the primary ball handler was mostly responsible for initiating the offense. And guess what? He still averaged about 20-25 points per game.

Slack is 1 of the most underrated players that I’ve seen this year. That includes events from the Prep Hoops Circuit, MADE Hoops and NY2LA. He can board with his super fast re-jump and has 1 of the top mid range games of any guard I’ve seen. Oh yeah, we’ve also seen Slack catch fire from beyond the arc and put up a 20 point HALF. Slack should be sitting on double digit offers. That simple.

Slack is the definition of must see. The Florida star is playing with the Midwest Stampede North. He’s a true CG, that can handle like a point, but is willing to give the ball up and trust that it’s coming back. Slack has 1 of the quickest re-jumps I’ve seen and he utilizes it around the rim.

Slack plays high school ball in Florida (yes he’s still averages over 26 a game) but plays his grassroots ball with the Michigan based Midwest Stampede North. He’s been in the 30’s and high 20’s in points on a regular basis the last 2 summers. Not electric enough? Well, on a big stage at a MADE Hoops event in St. Louis he dropped an eyebrow raising 43.
