<p>The [program_tooltip program_id='2830215' first='Future' last='Kings 2026'] had no problems in the opener here on Saturday morning. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2404727' first='Gavin' last='Griffin']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1486212' first='Mikey' last='Williams Jr']</strong> both led the way with 16 points. Griffin an athletic forward really does a nice job of collecting rebounds off the cylinder and playing active around the bucket. Gavin was able to showcase 1-2 dribbles with a nice little jump-hook. He really plays quick off deck with his ability to alter and challenge shots on the defensive end. </p>

<p>Williams Jr had an extremely set of quick hands to create scoring opportunities on the other end all night long. Mikey really likes to finish going to the bucket and playing in attack mode. He was able to use the head fake on occasion going to the bucket to finish. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1465116' first='Isaiah' last='Atkins']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2844134' first='Zion' last='McGee']</strong> both were able to control the paint area for the [program_tooltip program_id='2830215' first='Future' last='Kings 2026']. Atkins really looks to challenge shots on the defensive side the floor. Isaiah continues to improve his game with his ability to work around the paint area. He has really picked up his play by playing more aggressively and showcasing his passing skills at times. He finished with 13 points in the lopsided win here today. Atkins attends Boiling Springs HS.</p>

<p>McGee is a just a blue-collar paint player who brings his lunch pail to work each night. Zion is not flashy at all with his play. He stays down in the paint close to the bucket and looks to go to work. He was able to finish with both hands today while showcasing a soft touch. Zion attends Legacy Early College. </p>

<p><strong><em>South Carolina Blue Jays Have Added a Few</em></strong>: </p>

<p>The South Carolina Blue Jays fended off Force Basketball Club to claim victory. The South Carolina Blue Jays received strong play from a few new names on the roster since we saw them back a few weeks back. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2461008' first='D'ontez' last='Walker']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2386511' first='Zavien' last='Broughton']</strong> were added to the mix.</p>

<p>Walker a UNSIGNED senior had a very good senior season at JL Mann HS. Walker has great footwork, and a skill set to play all over the floor at times. D'ontez is a TWEENER on the floor with a great set of hands and a soft touch around the bucket. He can step-out and knockdown the 15-17-foot-jumper when called upon. He does a nice job of keeping the ball up high after rebounding it but does to showcase some good ball-handling skills up the floor. Walker had 13 points in the win over the Force Basketball Club. </p>

<p>Broughton likes to take his game to the cup and look to overpower over defenders at times. Zavien was looking to score the rock here today. He played aggressive and in attack mode all game long. Zavien finished with 19 points in the win. Broughton attends Woodmont HS.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2467005' first='Ty'Korian' last='Campbell']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2388867' first='Lucas' last='Eubanks']</strong> both added to the win for the South Carolina Blue Jays. Campbell a left-handed post player finished with 13 points while Eubanks added 8 points. Campbell does his best work around the paint area while Eubanks showed some explosiveness at times in the backcourt getting by defenders and dropping some short pull-up jumpers along the way.</p>

Meszaros constantly came up with big play after big play on the floor. He has no problems sacrificing his body for a charge it seems like on command. Ryland understands good and productive shot selection. He knocked down shots all day long while never looking to force the issue. Ryland attends Northwestern HS (Rock Hill).</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1487227' first='Ja'shawn' last='Reid']</strong> plays football in the fall at Northwestern HS (Rock Hill) as a wide receiver. Reid was active all over the floor with his play to play inside-out at times at times. He has great hands to catch anything thrown in his direction. Ja'shawn has good length and upside to score around the bucket and excel in transition. He finished with 11 points in the tough loss today. </p>
