There are a ton of developing bigs in the 2026 that were at the Comets Shootout. I felt it's crucial that we talk about these bigs as there are going to be a lot of area colleges watching them and considering them for college basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2100912' first='Stephen' last='McGee'] of Minnesota Comets Elite (Greenway), 6'9/6'10

What I liked: The length, agility, low post shot blocking, timing finishing at the rim, its all rare. He is think but that weight can be added and the mobility at that size just isn't something you are going to find very many places. A very productive weekend with the Comets.

What the numbers say: Averaged 19.2 points and 11 rebounds a game this winter.

Isaac Asmus of Comets Petermeier (Aitkin), 6'8.

What I liked: When he catches and turns in a balanced way, Isaac is so big its really tough to do much with him. There are so many clips and instances where he gets that left shoulder turn into a balanced right hand finish and his frame just holds the opponent off while he finishes.

What the numbers say: 20 points. 15 rebounds, 2.6 blocks per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2120494' first='Cameron' last='Cramble'] of Fury Antl (Irondale), 6'8.

What I liked: Cramble finished at a 57 percent rate this winter and I thought he finished off put-backs, cuts, dump offs, and floor runs pretty well in the deep paint. Good percentages there and he does a nice job in low post position making opponents of over the top.

What the numbers say: 12 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2120492' first='Ethan' last='Miller'] of Fury DeLo (Zumbrota-Mazzepa), 6'8.

What I liked: There is a lot to like here. Starting around the paint, I thought Miller was the best I saw when it came to rebounding and walling up inside forcing bigs over the top. He scored consistently around the paint but the touch is pretty good too. He is getting more consistent. Made almost half of the 130 three point attempts he attempted this year.

What the numbers say: Averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocks a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874800' first='Brayden' last='Gorton'] of Fury DeLo (Minneapolis Washburn), 6'8.

What I liked: This is a lefty with a nice touch at his size. Some decent range with that touch making him a face-up big and I thought he defended tougher and better than when I last saw him. Lots of room for growth with that touch, the solid mobility, and comfort away from the paint that allows him to play the four as well.

What the numbers say: averaged 9.4 points per game

[player_tooltip player_id='2118833' first='Kevin' last='Kemp'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] (Eagan), 6'8.

What I liked: I thought Kemp was a solid player this winter when I watched and looked at film but live, I was not sure he was the same person this weekend. He looked way more agile than I was expecting last weekend and he finished at the rim physically. Quicker bounce than I expected as well.

What the numbers say: 9.7 points, seven rebounds, 1.5 blocks a game

[player_tooltip player_id='2434178' first='Drew' last='Gullickson'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United'] (Fertile-Beltrami), 6'7

What I liked: I wasn't sure who he was when watching but I was pleasantly surprised by Drew's mobility defending the screen and roll and the rebounding effort was outstanding. He had 11 boards against the top Comets team. Scored three times too. This winter he led his team to 24 wins and was a part of a state football champ.

What the numbers say: That Fertile Belrami does not put them in public

Jack Welch of [program_tooltip program_id='2076005' first='West' last='Central Wildcats'] (Pelican Rapids), 6'8.

What I liked:I really like the look of his face-up touch and his ability to score with that touch around the rim. I was caught off guard at how well he faced up and attacked with a dribble or two and he seemed to welcome the contact before getting to the balanced finish.

What the numbers say: They say Pelican Rapids doesn't have them in public but Jack did score 20 a game at state.
